For some reason they've tried to erase someone from the picture. Check the thumbnail on the video I posted on the last page. It's the same pic and you can't see the advertising hoarding under his leg cos there's someone in the way.

Caught a bit of a couple of people discussing the Man U game at Spurs on R5 and they couldn't believe how quickly the new bloke has had an effect and turned things around and I'm thinking, am I living in a parallel universe?

They’re just absolutely desperate for it to be the case tbh. Look at how much they called Ten Haag a good manager because he won a couple of pots while their league form tanked. They’re also absolutely blind to just how massive a job it is to turn that Man United ship round atm

Watching that Spurs/Man Utd match the other day made me realise that Dubravka is actually a fairly decent 2nd choice keeper

But he is also a cunt and would rather sit on an Ineos bench

We've played 3 average to poor teams. He should have swept up on the Wissa chance (not the goal) but made a good save in the end to redeem himself.

He is far better with his feet and teams don't press him like they would with Pope so it gives us a better chance to build from the back. I think he'll face bigger challenges when we play better teams but great start so far. 1 goal conceded in 3 games.

Seems this club can’t do any right this season. A week ago we had folk moaning that we only turn up against the ‘bigger’ teams, three decent victories against ‘lower’ teams later and well we’ve just beaten two lots of reserves and a shit Ipswich and “Let’s see how we turn up against the bigger teams”.

I’m assuming the festive sauce has been deployed early.

I do think people are being a bit hard on the lads - it feels like a switch has flipped for me since Liverpool, we're playing better for sure. Think if we get a result against Villa then people might start to risk having a bit of faith.

Football fans are some of the most fickle in the world. Personally, I think we are coming along nicely of late, and see no reason we can't be playing in Europe next season if we just keep the ship steady if you will.

Newcastle supporters seem to instinctually expect disappointment. Preparing for it by dampening expectations is almost part of our collective psyche as supporters. I don't view it as a slight against the players. And, who knows, once we win something it may change. I wouldn't get my hopes up though.

Think that's true of most football fans to be honest.

I know Man City fans who are viewing this utterly mental collapse as just par for the course for their club. "Typical Man City".
