Is anyone watching these European superleague games? I mean, talk about fucking up an already fucked up CL concept. I watched most of the Villa v Bayern game and that's about it, I couldn't tell you who's doing what and what impact it's having? It might just be me but I'd love to know how many neutrals have just switched off from it? It's only one rung higher than the international break now for me.

I’m watching channel 4 news on +1. Also watched the Villa match last night which I should’ve enjoyed far more than my crippling fuckin jealousy would allow… they’ve sold one of their best players last summer and still improved, their recruitment at this stage looks inspired; Onana replaced the departed Douglas Luiz and has been great but is now carrying a knock and was subbed early,  Rodgers from Man City looks fuckin brilliant and Maatsen  was the reason many Chelsea fans were ok with Hall coming to us, he looked mint last night too…

Yep. They've fucked it. Used to look forward to champions league nights, but a 36 team tournament just feels like I'm watching the Europa Conference

22 years ago today…maybe we just don’t read newspaper  reports of football match anymore but this reads (brilliantly iyam) like a real period piece, written whilst the game was going on. I was actually looking for a pic of Buffon’s gloves with the Tyne Bridge on them (I’ve definitely seen a pic, anyone with time and better Google skills?? 😆) when I came across this….

Used to call a mate I played 5-a-side with ‘Del Biero’

My mate at the brewery used to call me Zidane but this was when I started to get a bit of a bald patch on the back of my napper.

Bastards.

I'm gutted about this. He was just about to turn a corner with them.

This is where all that time and effort securing Ashworth’s services is about to pay off for the Theatre of Screams mob.

He’s got the contacts, has the science, and puts on a mean spread sheet, and I’m sure no one will expect Southgate as the next Red Mug.

I sincerely hope Van Nistelrooy does really well just to really turn the knife when he's returned to his assistant role under Southgate.

bbc analysing who the next manager could be as well as running a poll on it, completely omitting southgate from their reckoning. think it's probably safe to assume that 2nd place 'other' is in fact neutrals voting for the missing former england man.

Zidane is never going to manage again after he won some Champions League trophies by having a cheat code attack. His reputation can only suffer

He definitely isn't going to Man Utd. If he manages again it'll be another easy win like PSG or Bayern.
