Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign England defender Ben Chilwell by Chelsea after the 27-year-old was told he does not feature in boss Enzo Maresca's plans. (Talksport)

They've got senior pros training with their development group. It's disgraceful really. And the wages must be absolutely killing them.

I hope the window closes with a bunch of them still there causing ructions.

Imagine going to work and your Poch protective father like type manager leaves and is replaced with this absolute psychopath man. Absolute shambles.

Is Madueke training away too, is he going cheap?

Well, according to Capology (which I don't take as gospel by any means), they're spending at least £200m on wages a year. Their commercial revenue is around £210m, total revenue around £500m. So they're spending 40% of their revenue on wages alone.

40% would be quite healthy actually considering the recommended wages to turnover ratios of below 70% tbh

Yeah, that's the ill-defined point I was trying to make. They make money from selling players, they pull in enough money from commercial deals, selling themselves hotels and car parks and all that. In terms of PSR I think they're fine. Which is, in and of itself, a damning indictment of the PSR regulations.

Their last accounts had them spending £404m on wages.

Really? Holy shitballs!

Can't imagine Maatsen, Gallagher, Hall, Hutchison, and Moreira were on that much.

No, he's backup for Palmer on the RW currently. Which makes me think they aren't going to let him go on the cheap.

They've got Sterling, Kepa, Lukaku, Gallagher, Chilwell, Chaloba and Broja all leaving or left to plug the PSR hole

Yeah that Capology number is bollocks.

It might be that ewerk includes all player wages? But yeah Capology isn't reliable, just a guide.

They’ve just spunked loads on pedro Neto for the RW.

Yeah it includes the entire club’s wages but the first team will make up the vast majority. It’ll also include the money paid for Potter and also to sack him.

This is exactly the point I was trying to get at. Surely the RW Downie was teasing us with last night is Madueke and a similar deal we got with Hall last season. He's the one that ticks all the boxes and makes the most sense from a PSR perspective.

Do Chelsea have a right back in the “bomb squad” that we can get in as a younger back up for Tino?

It’s actually the only area where they’re short, having only 1.5 RBs.
