Howe is way too "High Performance podcast" to have a beer with, Klopp might be a bit of a cunt, but at least he's not dull. And if I stopped drinking with cunts, I'd be drinking alone.

You would rather have a pint with a cunt than the man WHO MANAGES THE TEAM YOU SUPPORT?

England squad seems to be half decent and picked on form. Mental that he's waited until now to do it though, and not during the last year of friendlies

The goals and pace in the attacking options is terrifying for other teams. The defence is genuinely terrifying for us

Obviously if I wanted to go uber-nerd into the minutiae of the job, the stats, the future plans, how he balances getting his ideas across without overwhelming the players with too much information, I'd stick with Eddie.

To have a laugh over a pint with? Howe would be less interesting company, I think.

Rashford not in the 26 apparently…. Anthony Gordon has fuckin BURIED him and Grealish since he signed for Newcastle United. If Gordon doesn’t start on the left v Serbia on the 16 June Southgate should be taken out with a tactical strike by the Gallowgate Special Ops section of the Northumberland Fusiliers :cuppa:

Squad at 2pm. I predict the glaring and just fuckin ridiculous omission will be Tomori. Quansah apparently and also  inexplicably in 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you have the time then this thread is a pretty good explanation on how Man City cheated FFP. Basically disguising owner payments via sponsors. It seems that CAS let them off the hook due to the fact that many charges were time barred and they weren't presented with actual bank statements to prove that Man City were actually doing what the emails clearly show they were doing.

obviously i have to defend that load of tripe.

UEFA case

the PL case appears to be based on those self same emails.

those emails were stolen.

they were also edited.

and they were mis-interpreted.

they were out of context and CAS saw the rest of the emails putting them in context

many further points such as - It was demonstrated that the sheikh referenced by initials was not in fact sheikh mansour (thats why you need the whole picture)

the emails were declared as admissible by CAS.

the time barred charges were the same as charges that weren't time barred (just different years). no evidence was provided for any of the charges.

even with the emails it was repeatedly ruled that there was no evidence of wrong doing (bar non co-operation)

an excerpt from the CAS ruling littered with highlighted no evidence statements.

GMUzbO2WIAATTMX.thumb.jpeg.56f25d619e36daddfb7cfd31f947a127.jpeg

The non cooperation fine was reduced from 30m to 10m for one simple reason.

we co-operated fully up until UEFA leaked business sensitive information to the press.

we then stopped cooperating and stated to CAS that we didn't feel we could trust UEFA anymore.

CAS accepted that but the fact remained that we didn't cooperate so they reduced the fine from 30m to 10m

Premier League Case

stolen evidence is inadmissible under english law.

The PL is a club following club rules but they still have a duty to follow English law and it states as such in their handbook.

presumably the PL are looking for us to give them the evidence that shows we've done wrong.

City are understandably saying - but we haven't done wrong so that evidence doesn't exist. so tell us what documents you want. PL say they want everything and City say you can't have everything as some is confidential so be more specific.

PL want to see documents from Etihad but Etihad have no such obligation. However Etihad are being floated so all documents will be available then (if we're guilty that would seem a bad move on our behalf)

PL haven't even spoken to Mancini

Its widely reported that the PL is David and city are Goliath. But the PL are represented by the finest in the land so thats poppycock.

Its widely reported that City tried to keep the case private because they've done wrong. But actually the City AND the PL wanted it kept private.

can't be bothered with listing more.

Man City's Crime ?

At the end of the day, win or lose all city have actually done is put money into their business.

I won't lose any sleep over that.

They haven't committed murder. hello liverpool fans

They aren't drugs cheats. hello liverpool squad and your asthma, hello man united, rio, etc

They haven't passed PL rules to stop competition, hello cartel

They haven't hacked rival club databases - hello liverpool

They haven't committed fraud - hello man united and all.

They haven't taken money out of football - hello man united

i had minor surgery this morning and needed a mini rant, let's hope i never have major surgery

mini rant over - sorry lads

Sounds like he's taking Shaw who can't stop breaking down with injury. Seems a canny risk. Suppose he can start Trippier on the left but take players who aren't a massive injury risk, Gareth.

The very last para in the conclusion references the leaked emails and basically says there is no evidence that they went through with the plan that is outlined in the email.

As the twitter thread states, the evidence that is lacking is the bank statements to evidence the movement of funds.

The conclusion doesn't question that there was an intention and a request to funnel shareholder funds through sponsor payments. They just can't prove that the plan was put into action because presumably they can't demand the paper trail from companies that aren't under investigation (the sponsors).

I know you dont believe there was wrongdoing but it looks pretty smelly to me.

Apparently James Trafford is more deserving of a callup than Nick Pope though.

I'm sorry but i don't buy that those that have either audited or done due diligence on Manchester City including

  • Etihad,
  • Etisalat,
  • Abu Dhabi Royalty,
  • CFG,
  • Roberto Mancini,
  • Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club and its former CEO, Phil Anderton,
  • Deloitte,
  • BDO,
  • Ernst & Young,
  • AlixPartners,
  • Our Chinese private equity company who i can't remember,
  • Silver Lake ( leading Silicon Valley private equity fund, that now owns approximately 20% of the CFG and its billionaire founder and co-CEO, Egon Durban, sits on CFG’s board)

are all in cahoots.

That none of them have found any wrong doing.

Investors such as silver lake do due diligence before investing.

Accounting firms are careful when they know theres an issue as their reputation is on the line

Conspiracy Theories and Innuendo will not prove the alleged Manchester City Conspiracy (substack.com)

Spoilt for choice, which makes a change. Maddison is a distant fourth in that quartet and probably should've been left out altogether for another defender.

Whisper it quietly but Hall came into form at the right time. If Adam Wharton's in, I see no reason for Hall to miss out, especially considering LB is a blatant problem position for us. If he'd still been playing for Chelsea he probably would've been in. Note the obligatory Liverpool defender as well, can't leave the red shirt club out.

i disagree, i think the PL were foolish to launch a case that they can't win. it's taking them a very long time to gather their evidence and present their case.

and thanks, i just want lots of food now, dieting does not suit me.

Yeah but fitting players into positions where they can’t show their absolute best under the instructions of the fuckin English football media needs to stop if England want to win.

That means Foden starting sat in behind Harry Kane. I’ll let Bellingham play beside Rice because he absolutely will but if you ask me that should be John Stones :cuppa:

for me, foden is best in an advanced midfield role, not on the wings

we played Foden alongside KDB  ahead of Rodri in midfield at the weekend

i'd play a midfield 3 of Rice behind Bellend and Foden
