I feel like the version of Toonpack from last week is underappreciated tbh.

They can't all be blue chip players.

Well by the established metric here his underappreciation would amount to seeing Murphy as a worse option than Almiron. Toonpack arguing with himself from a week ago. His only worthy adversary.

I’ll think you’ll find Toonpack’s fractiousness last week and in particular at the weekend was due to it being “full moon week” …. it’s a phenomenon I’ve observed regularly throughout my life and I can assure my fellow posters that the dear old grandad of this board is a full blown MOONIE ☺️

(His attack on scousers was particularly viscous and came on Sunday, when this seldom seem bad boy reared its frankly unwelcome heed :cuppa: )

Weren't you pushing for Miggy to start last week?

Nope,  I suggested him/Murphy but I was leaning towards him for his pace to help v Gakpo, that’s hardly a push.

Taking Gemmill’s word for anything is a significant mistake.

My angst was directed at Liverpool FC and it’s supporters, it was Renton (in his role as board precious fanny) who decided write an essay to expand that into a supposed attack on the whole city and all its inhabitants.

Fake news.

We need to get Internal Audit on to this one. @ewerk

Feel free.

I was stating my view that we need Gordon to play on the left and the team to be balanced, which meant we needed to play Murphy or Miggy on the right.

I thought it was me who'd taken up the mantle as bad boy on all things anti scouse?

frankly I don't care though, I can't stand the cunts and I'm quite happy to share the burden.

Oh no, I still venomously despise the bastards, I’ve never even forgiven that cunt Keegan.

“Keegan two, Highway one, Liverpool three, Newcastle none”. A phrase that shall live in infamy.

I’ve set an alert on my calendar for the full moon in January where I will continue monitoring your behaviour :cuppa:

The only two teams I truly despise are the Murderers and Red Mancs (oh and the Huns) there's no full moon around those next fixtures, so your theory may fall flat I'm afraid.

I'll be surprised if Bromley or Wolves wind me up much tbh.

Well duh, of course he should be upgraded, no-one is saying he shouldn’t be, but he’s not a cart horse as many make out.

Fact is, of our available right wing options he is the best we have and should be supported as such. It’s not like he’s keeping some version of Salah on the bench.

But, let’s give Murphy pelters because he’s playing instead of that electric right winger who should be playing instead, Oh, who we don’t fucking have 😂😂

It was obvious we needed a right winger in the summer but we spent the entire window pissing about trying to sign Guehi

We do need further strength at RW but we also need a pacey RCB even more. Nowts changed.

I’m happy for Murphy’. He’s a good enough as a squad player,  cover a few positions and is good enough to allow better players a rest against this sort of opposition, in cup games etc. We still desperately need a new RW. None of our options in that position are really good enough for where we want to be.

I just had to rewatch the highlights to check I hadn’t dreamt Murphy’s backheel assist for Isak’s third goal. Beautifully cheeky bit of skill. Btw if Salah had done that it would be headline news…

Darren Ambrose, who was co-commentating on the stream I watched, said you wouldn’t see a better assist than that this season. Hard to disagree

He's defo worth keeping in the squad, but he's having a purple patch if we're being honest. I've seen him fuck up enough counter attacks over the last 7 seasons that it's going to take more than 3 good games to convince me he's suddenly turned into a world beater
