She's in a bind because she would get hammered.

Looks weak and wobbly to not take it though.

Amazing that a constituency that has always been Tory, by 20%+ in 2015, has gone to labour and to such an extent now that the PM can show her face.

I have been thinking about this.  Maybe the who'll experience has been truly upsetting to her and she doesn't want to face the media & residents due to it?

Thatcher met families.  She was an unconscionably condescending cunt to them.

Quote

“She said there were 750 police officers on duty on the day of the disaster.

“I asked her ‘please, tell me what they were doing, then?’.

“She said to me ‘Their job, my dear, their job’.

That's totally gone over my head.  What does that mean?

It would mean they'd done a coalition deal with the Tories and replaced the likely partners, i.e. the DUP. But, as others have pointed out, it seems highly unlikely they'd do it again after the last time. Even more so as they haven't even got a leader atm.

they'd still have a teeny majority even with the lib dems. still, a bit more palatable than the DUP having a say in running the country. for all their shite last time they got into bed with the tories, at least clegg was able to get one or two good things through - his pupil premium, for instance.

I don't see how we can't have anything but another election this year. Forget about her overseeing the Brexit negotiations until their conclusion, May won't survive the summer.

All the more reason to call another election as the EU are up against the Brits on the other side of the negotiating  table, who don't know what kind of Brexit they want anymore, led by a PM who has god knows how much time left, all while the two year Brexit clock triggered by article 50 is ticking. Omnishambles.

in other news, Corbyn is exuding a statesman-like air with pretty much every public appearance since the election. May on the other hand is looking ever more shambolic. If there was another election tomorrow, labour would romp home, I reckon.

I saw a comment that the policy the tories made law pretty much because of the mail whinging about the SNP where only English MPs can vote on English laws means they won't be able to pass any such laws now. A bit of karma at least.
