If that audience represented the entire electorate, Labour would win by a landslide, the Greens/UKip would be runners-up and the Tories would somehow have negative votes.

Depends on whether or not the chance was to make May looks stupid by not turning up.

If that was the whole plan (And I can't think what else he had to gain without her actually being there) then I think this has probably gone ok.

I didn't see the thing though. Did it do him any harm?

He got the vast majority of applause, and that's all that really matters.

He could have hogged more screen-time though.

I've just read the Mail's article on the debate. Obviously it's horrific, but again, the top comments are all hammering the Tories and begrudgingly conceding that Corbyn might well be better for negotiating Brexit. And these comments are getting thousands of recommends.

WTF have the Tories done man, this is almost too painful for me to take any joy from it. Almost.

Thing is the odd point that Labour are gaining is coming from the libs or from UKIP - the Tory share is pretty solid - and that's before you count the fuckers who are too ashamed to say thery're going to vote for them.

I don't think there's any more shitter they can get in a week to prevent a majority - but you never know.

True but I think they started on 48 so they have lost support as this has gone along.

I dunno, the best we can hope for is that Labour continue doing what they're doing. Cant really fault the campaign.

Even though Theresa May is a shambles of a politician there wasn't much for her to be concerned about had she turned up last night. Certainly nothing worse than what she did by not turning up.

And where was Sturgeon?

Sturgeon isn't an MP so there's an argument that she doesn't have a remit to represent the SNP in this Westminster debate. I don't think anyone would call her a coward though?
