Rayvin 5170
A quick scan and I agree in principle with everything position, complete renationalisation might be a step too far and I'm not sure exactly what the minimum wage should be. Unfortunately, you have to be able to play the game these days too. Didn't someone post a link on here about how the vast majority of people would vote Green purely on the issues? I've harped on about that last point endlessly. It was an independent article. I think the Tories finished 4th.
Rayvin 5170
It will be interesting to see how many of those policies make it into their manifesto and whether, as promised, they are costed out. Also what their own policy is on Brexit. They claim to have costed it out. But also claim to do so by borrowing 500bn. The economics of that is sound (and less than the Tories have borrowed in 7 years which is 700bn) but not a vote winning headline for a populace not well versed in economics. No idea what their Brexit position is, and if even I don't know, it's not a good sign.
Dr Gloom 21807
Corbyn's wishy washy position on Brexit is one of the main reasons he's unelectable. Who the fuck knows what his real position is on it - he's barely mentioned it since May called the election. It's hard to imagine him leading the Brexit negotiations. And he's missed a massive opportunity to unify the remain vote by ruling out offering a referendum on the terms of exit.

Andrew 4717
Not of interest to any others on here I know but my uncertainty of who to vote for is being whittled down bit by bit, Lib Dems candidate for Burnley is a right arsehole, got in after 2010 and managed to go full tory in the coalition. Can't believe he's managed to convince them to let him stand again considering the kicking he got in 2015. Rayvin 5170
Judging by that comment, you're not going to go Tory either. What do you mean he went full Tory anyway? As in agreed with them on everything?

As in agreed with them on everything? I do indeed, knowing the bloke he only stands as a Lib Dem because the conservatives have very little chance of being elected here. He campaigned with his party line pretty strongly in 2010, appealing to students loads (I was at uni at the time and he was regularly appearing on campus) before getting his seat and voting to raise tuition, lower benefits and prevent same sex marriage. Renton 21252
Or they just think some of Corbyn's "policies" are moronic. Like the one where he has stated he would in no circumstances ever use our nuclear deterrent, for instance. This taxi driver and many traditional Labour voters can see him for the utter charlatan he is. Mocking people like that and calling them fucking stupid only reflects badly on you. ewerk 30235
Of course it's deserving of mocking. To go from being a lifelong Labour voter to a Tory just because of Corbyn is downright stupid. Not to mention that May herself is a hugely underwhelming leader.
Dr Gloom 21807
Speaking of underwhelming, did anyone see Corbyn on Andrew Marr? Literally no attempt made to distinguish his brexit policies from May. Good one.

Whereas voting for the party that will actively work to make your life harder is the pinnacle of common sense. We aren't relevant enough for anyone to nuke these days ffs. On the other hand, we actually DO have falling standards of living.

Yes, voting for a party that is the literal opposite of what you believe and seems to relish kicking our area to death is a much more rational solution. Can I join you on whatever planet you live on?
