Anyway, he must've forgotten to reply and thank Leazes, and I reckon it would've just been an oversight because not saying thanks isn't his style. Anyway, Leazes must've stored it away in his little black book of grudges because they disagreed on some football matter or whatever months later and Leazes launched into a tirade about how he was the sort of rude arsehole (or words to that effect) that didn't even have the courtesy to thank someone one who'd sent them a curry recipe.
