Gemmill 44387
Clinton was insufferable. I don't know much about Pete but his surname is ludicrous. You can't have that after President. I would have gone with Kamala Harris. She was absolutely lethal in all the hearings they've had recently. She would have wiped the floor with Trump. As for Warren, from what I can gather she's just discovered these socialist sensibilities very recently, having been a shill for big finance for most of her career. Having said that, maybe that's as close to a socialist as America is prepared to go. Sanders is weird. I think weird enough to lose to Trump, and having a heart attack very recently isn't a great one for the CV.
Rayvin 5176
I keep hearing mixed things about Warren but a few years back I remember writing on here that she'd be the ideal person to run against him next time. But you're right in what you say, she started her political life as a republican I believe. That said, people can change. She's an improvement on Clinton. And tbf I do think she'd give Trump a hammering in debates or general competence.

And I'm not saying he should win. I'm just not especially impressed by the determination of the establishment democrats to shithouse their way to someone that they "think" can win. Ultimately I'll take anyone who isn't Trump - but a non-Sanders candidate who wins through the non-transparent machinations of the Democrats won't win either. If they want their centrist hero to win, he (or she, not sure where Warren places on the spectrum) has to win it fairly. If they don't, Trump will destroy them - partially because people who think like me will just give them the finger. Partially because it will make them look more corrupt than he is. I think he won’t win because of the last bit.
Gemmill 44387
On the plus side, Biden looks dead in the water if Iowa and the early polling from New Hampshire are to be believed.

ewerk 30266
Why worry any more about checks and balances? He’s shown that he has the senate in his pocket. He’s coming for the judiciary now. They really have started on a slippery slope.
Gemmill 44387
Yeah if he wins the next election, and barring the Senate flipping to the Democrats, America will be unrecognisable 4 years from now. Rayvin 5176
And the democratic party will be fearfully doing everything in their power to stop him I think he would have won last time but that it was his Corbyn moment. This time I'm concerned it will be his Corbyn wipeout. At some point AOC will run, and then we'll really see the whites of the Democratic party's eyes.. NJS 4371
You've got be 35 to run - I think she's out for the next two or three at last. As I suggested the DNC is pivoting towards Bloomberg to stop Sanders.

Rayvin 5176
Apparently his relationship with Johnson has soured rapidly. Reports of him slamming the phone down on us over Huawei, along with our concerns over Iran (did we say anything remotely interesting about Iran??). Doesn't bode to well for the amazing trade deal.
