PaddockLad 17239
3 assists yesterday, Best player in the division so far iyam Rafa signed him for Liverpool, he clearly knew he was talented. Had a great start at Swansea and got a few England caps then just seemed to go off the boil. 12 million for him was a good deal for Swansea and he didn't really do it for us lady season either. If Rafa can keep motivating him we should go up and then we'll just have to see if he can produce it in the premier league again.
Kid Dynamite 7025
MOTM yesterday but we've had a lot of standout performers over the season Lascelles Gouffran Gayle Ritchie
Ayatollah Hermione 13856
An excellent example of someone who has been Rafa'd tbh
StoneColdStephenIreland 74
He's took his game to another level and we just wouldn't tick without him. The precision on his long passes is spectacular to keep the opposition under pressure from out of nowhere.
rogerbarton 24
Some of those passes yesterday. Ian Holloway actually picked out some great moments from him on EFL Goals. You can look at the two beauties for the first two, but the understanding with Gayle for the third was a beauty too. He's clearly an 'in the zone' type of player though - I think we can remember some of his anonymous performances last season. Hopefully he'll remain Rafa'd if we go up. Dr Gloom 21911
He's been given a lot more time on the ball to pick his passes in this division. He wasn't being pressed at all yesterday, from what I saw on periscope at least.
Tooj 17
Nothing against you Gloomy but it boggles my mind that people are that desperate to watch that they'll put up with a Periscope stream like.
zico martin 89
he has found his level here and i fear that he will always struggle to perform consistently in the premiership.
TheGingerQuiff 2412
I'm optimistic. The weight he's lost and the fact he's acknowledged his petulance are huge positives.
Andrew 4747
he has found his level here and i fear that he will always struggle to perform consistently in the premiership. When he could be arsed he was decent quality in the Premier League though, motivation seemed to be his issue, especially towards the end at Swansea and then at us when the malaise crept in. Rafa then dropped him for a while which seemed to have the desired effect, he dropped some weight and has picked up his performances

Noelie 103
Let's get real, his big problem is inconsistency and rashness, be it premiership or championship. If he, with Rafa's help can erase those factors then I think we will have a jewel in Jonjo.
Kid Dynamite 7025
Whilst I worry that Dummet, Clarke and Colback won't be able to cut it in the premier league, Shelvey has already showed on many occasions he's good enough for that league
adios 717
Agree with J and Noelie, if Rafa can get him performing 4/5 games instead of 1/5 he'll be a decent Premiership player.

Monroe Transfer 0
My only worry is we're lacking for creativity in the middle without him. He gets injured and the whole dynamic of the team changes.

wykikitoon 20110
I must say I am with ewerk here. Would rather listen to Wireless than watch some shite periscope feed.Anyways back on topic. Rafa has deffo got the kid buzzing and motivated. The whole team infact are so the real test would be when we are not playing well and maybe on a couple of runs of defeats. But at the moment a joy to watch (or listen to )
Kid Dynamite 7025
What part of Newcastle is CLS in? The part that is closest to NUFC than any other professional team that's how support is meant to work isn't it? Just to put this myth to bed: (Adjusted for rush hour) CLS to SJP 20min/11ml CLS to SOL 29min/12ml
