TheGingerQuiff 2412
I don't think he does have solid reading of the game. He's looked dodgy this season so far and last season during his purple patch he was making some last ditch tackles that are rarely required from good readers of the game. We'll find out but I think he's probably been over hyped.
Rayvin 5186
Isn't a solid reading of the game something that comes with experience? Surely people aren't just born being able to predict the ebbing and flowing of football matches. Anticipation is a learned skill isn't it? Granted some learn faster than others. TheGingerQuiff 2412
He's nee Steven Taylor Indeed. His injury in the season we finished 5th cost us a champions league finish!
gpirlo68 0
Yes, totally agree - GPirlo if you're saying Lascelles isn't good enough for championship, you're effectively saying hes a league one or below standard player - and that he isn't. No better place for him to develop than the championship and , at times, I'm sure Mbemba will carry him - but this is really one of the few positives to take out of the championship - we don't need to loan players to give them experience and keep them out the squad. They can be selected and play alongside their squad players and hopefully develop themselves and their interaction with the "Premier League" first teamers. I'm really hoping this is what Rafa's doing - that all these signings he sees as fringe players who just need a bit of development. Nah man, I'm not saying Lascellas isn't good enough for the championship, he clearly is I just don't think a centre back partnership who are both 22 years old, the best way to get promoted. I would have liked an already experienced centre back to take the pressure off. Just my opinion though
LooneyToony 41
I haven't given up on Lascalles just off two games. I still think he's got a shot to be a real good one. Anyway, 4 - 1! C'mon!!! And according to most news outlets, Rafa is not done adding to the squad. C'mon!!!!

Rayvin 5186
There's a few references to Rafa stating that he'll listen to offers for Krul, but I can't see any mention of anyone else.
scoobos 298
I'll dig it out - it was a press conference where he openly said "I don't discuss transfers in these meetings" then went on to give out his loan / active offers list.
