Too optimistic, too soon? Hide contents LOWERING EXPECTATIONS! I imagine Benitez will simply have said I want this standard of player and league finish won't be explicitly spoken about. He'll want the right players to improve the chances of successfully carrying out his instructions. So replacing Gouffran in the first team with a left sided Ritchie, Lascelles with an experienced centre half capable of playing in the English top flight. Happy Face 29
Best any promoted club from the championship have done is 8th Think that's an excellent and realistic target for us given none of those promoted clubs had Rafa.

The league below Everton in 7th is absoulte garbage tbh, 12 wins gets you 8th as it stands which seems really really low. If we spend smartly over summer we'll be starting the season in as good a position as the majority of those teams.
Alex 35572
Leicester win their remaining two games and they'll finish 8th on 49 points. As you allude to, it's not exactly an imposible task for a newly promoted side. Edit: just checked and the same applies to West Brom / Southampton but with 51 points. Doesn't negate the point though. Not saying we should expect that but, like you say, the league's very ordinary below Everton. Edited May 15, 2017 by Alex

I'll not pay Mackems any heed.

StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Canny goal by Janmaat. Wonder if he's regretting it yet? I dont think he's been a regular at Watford this season and they've had a bit of a poor, nothingness of a year.
