The Fish 10963
On top of ludicrous wages, I think they're still paying for players who aren't even with the club any more ( as we did under Shepherd & Hall), and that Alvarez debacle was hilarious. David Kelly 1260
It is staggering to think that they are making the losses they making while getting the crowds they get (at the start of the games at least) and signing absolute shit. Yes they are probably paying the likes of Defoe and O'Shea big wages but it still seems odd. I reckon they must be still giving away shit loads of free tickets. Of course they never seem to make anything from selling their players either. Which is hardly surprising.
Rayvin 5295
Aye they let Kaboul go for like £2m over the summer. He's not great but you'd think they'd have got 7 or 8 for him.

Sold him for that and then bought a bloke that Chelsea paid 2m for and played once for 8m . They're staggeringly bad at everything, total mess of a club and it's really time for them to sink into the lower leagues. David Kelly 1260
Dunno, that's probably decent money for him, he's utter wank. But I know what you mean. They paid £5.5m for Love and McNair so surely Kaboul must be worth more than those two players who have barely played a first team game and have looked pretty shit when they have. It's not good negotiating by them. But the biggest problem is they buy shit players who play poorly for them. Who wants to pay much money for any of them. StoneColdStephenIreland 74
They've had to get Manquillo and Januzaj on loan too so they'll be away come the summer aswell so that's more positions that are needed for them. If they go down then they won't be back for a while.
David Kelly 1260
The last few seasons they've relied on a few loan players to help get them through. This time they've signed two are woefully inadequate fore their needs. I'm still struggling to say they will go down as this is very similar to the way they have started the last three of four seasons and somehow they still manage to stay up. Surely this is one season too many though. It's interesting to see how a fair few of them seem to think that Moyes is almost completely to blame for it. Surely it's not difficult to see that if you keep doing the same shit year on year that only just keeps you up, sooner or later you are going to fall even a little bit short. And when 17th has been your ambition, a little bit short of that gets you fucked. So many of us saw how it was happening with us yet most of them are completely blind to it. Rayvin 5295
I think they have further to sink yet as I don't think they'll get anything from Bournemouth. Hull is the key though - if they beat Hull then they'll start picking up points here and there. Lose though, and they're genuinely gone.
ewerk 31195
They've made the worst ever start to a Premier League season of any club ever. I think that this may be the flush that finally removes the stubborn turd from the PL toilet bowl.

Nope, a weaker team than the one that managed the heady heights of 17th last season should be performing much better than it is currently, and that's Moyes' fault. Not Allardyce's for his short-term fix, not the players for being dogshit, not Short's for failing to invest, but David Moyes.

Imagine them firing Moyes, to replace him with someone like Pearson only to become the worst team in Premier League history. Just imagine that as Mitro scores his 3rd and our 5th against Barnsley to clinch a record breaking 106 pts, they concede their 3rd at Stamford Bridge to go down with 5 points. back in a mo. rogerbarton 24
We're not far off at this stage, even despite the terrible opening two games. Reading got 2.3 points per game in their 106 pt season, we're currently on 2.26 points per game. They lost 2 and drew 13 that season, we've lost 3 and drawn just once so far (about a third of the way through).
essembeeofsunderland 811
Big Eyes won't want a relegation on his cv so it wouldn't surprise me if he starts demanding silly money to spend in January, knowing fine well he won't get it.After Hull they have Liverpool away then Leicester at home. They are due a tonking.Defoe won't be happy with the service he's receiving so January could be his opportunity to leave that shower of shite.I suggest he should leave in January. essembeeofsunderland 811
Read somewhere that Hull took in more from gate receipts than SAFC very recently. Can't confirm it, mind. That was probably during Hull's last season in the Premier League. The makems are proof that big-ish crowds doesn't always mean big gate receipts.Of course no makem will ever admit to receiving a free ticket. They demand quality, big signings, but they'll always need an owner willing to finance these dream signings.40,000+ crowds ,but with the majority either getting in for nowt or for very little, will not impress a foreign buyer.40,000+ at the first whistle and 40,000+ pink seats at the final whistle will impress an interested party even less.SMB.Never more apt.
