Hippo Heeds architects have released plans for a new wing he's adding to Casa St.James, funded by the extra wedge he'll pocket by dumping the Tramps, to be styled and named in honour of his latest former employers

Somehow knows Rafa's wage now  in meltdown over a fucking pre season friendly man, you'll have Bracewell leading the 'MLF' out on Wednesday

Admiring the celebrations. One of my mag mates has had an impromptu European night toncelebrate the victory.

 This outfit make Orient seems like CL quality. We didn't do much wrong but did look like a side playing their first preseason fixture. It was a glorified training match.

Though we're obviously going to walk the league and win the FA Cup.

 Aye true enough, mind I'm fairly sure even they would have beaten that utter tosh Sacremento Republic or whatever the fuck it was we laboured against last year.

This to me is the way we should have started pre season for years. Play someone shit and put a few past them with out new signings already in place. Get a bit of confidence. We all say results don't matte but it's always better to be winning.

It also shows respect for the fans turning up who don't usually see us play live. When I've been to friendlies in the past I've always gone accepting that they're just kickabouts but when I've seen shit attitudes from players in far flung places it's always passed me off.

It's incredible, has anyone been into town today? A real feel good factor has enveloped this city following this latest victory.

Bohemians humiliated and we win the Anglo-Irish Championship 2016. I'd say this ranks with the Fairs Cup victory. That was a made up trophy as well.

Here's to more famous European Saturday afternoons.

Pipe down Brandon, your posts are almost as bad as your attempt at journalism/blogging on that site no one looks at because

#1 it's shite

#2 Sunderland don't matter to anyone, least of all Sunderland fans which is why you're on here looking attention :)

Chastising people for being "obsessed" on twitter while signing up here and spending time posting drivel is great btw

You have to ask yourself whether you'd prefer to be higher up the football pyramid & going in the wrong direction or lower in the football pyramid and going in the right direction.

There's a feel good factor around United at the moment, some of the players are canny, everyone loves the manager & there's a genuine sense of synergy between the club & the fans - most candidly expressed through the Gallowgate Flags Initiative, started by the fans & almost instantly adopted by the club. Even the kits are nice for a change. The club's social media accounts have really stepped it up & seemed to have learned the medium quite well, informative when they need to be & regularly funny as fuck.

We've sold more season tickets than last year, more than most top flight teams will & certainly more than Sunderland, so yes, we got the shitty end of the stick with relegation but we've coped with it well, we sold out the last game of the season, smashed one of the best teams in the league & the entire stadium was behind the manager and the team, 50,000 of them. You won't get that anywhere else.

So yeah - there's a lot of happiness around the club, no frustration of bitterness but there is a feeling or solidarity & a certain degree of sangfroid.

Obviously Rafa has been the catalyst for all that's positive but that's why we love him. :)

We have a reputation as pseudo-intellectuals to maintain, ya dig?

(but that was the only word that came to mind)

No I agree, Tom. I was just hoping that the club would show the ability to stay calm in difficult or dangerous situations seeing that they are now in the championship. :good:
