Read an article about him about a decade ago. Sadly a complete piss pot even by then, I think his problems contributed to him disappearing from our screens…. Shame, I loved WLIIA (and Cheers) on a Friday night before I was old enough to drink… don’t remember watching them much after that 😆

Yeah man, Friday nights on Channel 4 during my teenage years were class:  Cheers, Roseanne, WLIIA, then Eurotrash and The Word for late night titillation.

all went south after TFI Friday but I was out on the piss by then and less bothered.

Still binge Cheers every now and then.  When I was in Boston a few years back that was the first place I went

You'd have been Cliff, Dipper would've been Norm.

(I'm hoping I've remembered the right names?)

The consumate Z-Lister

the danone parody account was one of the funniest thing i've read on instagram. whoever ran it apparently consulted the man himself for background before posting his weirdly hilarious anecdotes and paid tribute to him today

Eraserdead, more like.

Seriously though, that’s a shame, who is there to take over his mantle as Official Artistic Nutter?
Guillermo del Toro?

Ah man, that’s actually gutted me. Twin Peaks is the best TV ever

It feels like the first cult TV show I can remember. Best sound track ever too. Oh, and the bank material on that show was off the scale.

That one who played the lady FBI agent he dug out for The Return was something else as well

The Mulholland Drive lasses as well. All had a 50s movie star look about them.

Actually, what a dirty old cunt, brace yourselves for the #metoo stories*.

Didn't he end up marrying or being in relationships with a bunch of them?

Always enjoyed the trivia fact that the scene in Eraserhead where Henry walks into the tunnel, there was five years between shooting that and the next scene when he walks back out the other side all because Lynch ran out of funds.

Any man lucky enough to have woken up next to Isabella Rossellini deserves some respect.

I was obsessed by twin peaks, I still think the first episode is the greatest piece of TV/film that's ever been made

A few years ago I read about his devotion to transcendental meditation I decided to give it a go, and have been doing it ever since.

Can safely say David Lynch changed my life

Great man
