Kelly Heroes was my favourite film as a kid in the 70s, partly due to Clint being Clint, but mainly due to Sgt. Oddball.

Bob Newhart, big hero of mine.

Didn’t he have a sitcom that showed over here ages ago, or am I thinking of another droopy-jowelled, dead pan Septic?

It was his second big show set in a hotel - Newhart - itv used to show it late at night.

In the final episode he woke up next to his wife from the first show implying it was all a dream - brilliantly copied in that Brian Cranston Breaking Bad/Malcolm in the middle spoof short.
