Some of the utter fucking plebs on Sky news being interviewed  this is why our country is in a mess when these thick cunts are allowed to vote:

'Well I am glad she was there at the end'

End? End of what? COD Beast Mode Level?

'It feels like an end of an era'

THAT'S BECAUSE IT IS YOU FUCKING PLEB

Then they asked a lad of about 9 what he wrote on his note on the flowers

'That I looked up to her'

WHAT?

Sport of the Establishment is only allowed.

Rugby Union on still then?

Nowt to do with that imo. There’s a test match in progress (although a ball hasn’t been bowled because of Thursday being a wash out and it being decided no play would take place today). It’s a purely financial decision by the cricket authorities I reckon. The Saffers were due to fly home on Tuesday. That might be delayed by one day now. But they make loads of money off tests and the schedule’s too tight and it’s too late in the year to fit another one in.

Or youtube channel, could make a canny bit. Everybody likes a good rant.

So, I saw my mum yesterday and she was fretting about an urgent operation being cancelled next week because of this bullshit. I laughed and told her not to worry, but now I'm not so certain. Half expecting a tweet from the NHS telling us they are going to stop treating her majesty's subjects for 10 days as a mark of respect.

The junior element of the GNR has been cancelled, children must NOT be allowed to enjoy themselves or keep fit apparently.

I asked them if we should all lock our front doors until Monday. Apparently I'm being ridiculous.

Got to say, quite refreshing to see us all on the same page with no contrary bollocks about how she was the shining light of England. A lovely little den of cynicism we have here

Thank the bloody heavens there's some common sense here, hope you lot are more representative of the British public than what's been let on the TV as far as the monarchy goes. Absolute circus some of the news and reactions  Even more laughable is the outpouring from colonized nations opressed for generations by her ancestors and she was very much about upholding those 'traditions'.

Early morning here and just heard about the football cancellations ffs!

Thankfully there's a cricket final on Sunday to look forward to.

Yeah, football cancelled (including grass roots, training, and childrens'), but cricket and Rugby Union cleared to go ahead. I know there are some cricket and rugby fans on here (I'm not a fan of either) but these are traditionally more middle/upper middle class games in the UK. So actually this smacks of classicism, even if that isn't the case (ie. the FA and premiership jumped the gun).

What a fucking joke this country is. Nothing is even consistent. Complete scatter gun approach to what is allowed and what is not, with kids and traditionally more working class people affected most. It is quite pathetic.

It’s definitely the FA trying to show the MOST RESPECT OF ALL and getting it badly wrong again. For a change

I wasn’t justifying the cricket decision btw. Just pointing out the ECB will have allowed all cricket to go ahead but will really only have been arsed about the potential loss of revenue at the test match. It’s just been announced the ECB wanted to add an extra day (which tends to confirm their motives) and the South Africans have said no and will go home on Tuesday as planned. It doesn’t make a lot of sense for rugby and cricket to go ahead and football not to but it was up to the FA. The grassroots stuff being off makes less sense given there being less logistics. I can see why the FA might’ve felt pressure to make a quick decision for the professional game with fans travelling etc. As has been pointed out it’ll probably be next weekend too given the likely funeral date.

I agree, was just tlking about perceptions. I think the FA decision is insane though considering the international break and WC coming up. It's a self-imposed covid-like fixture pile up. Justy hope we benefit through getting injured players back (hoping Mick Lowes doesn't read this!).

Talking of Lowes, it does seem strange that the people who want to mourn the most are borderline pyschopathic in their social media responses. I can imagine a poster like HTL, if he hasn't already died of a heart attack, is absolutely fuming right now punching walls.

The issue with footballing bodies is that they don’t care about player welfare tbh. Just look at them adding an extra pointless European tournament and a 48 team World Cup. They’ll run these lads into the ground for money. And Sky will already be rubbing their hands at the thought of advertising these postponed games as a bumper week. “A game every night!” And all that.

Eh? Which hospital Is cancelling operations because of this? The only line we’ve had at our place is that any flags on site will be at half mast and there’s going to be a book of condolence (I’m sure the RF don’t give a shit what the staff of a hospital think but there you go) There’s certainly no surgery being cancelled.
