Now a lot seem to want him - frightening how low our expectations have dropped...

I for one would say Venables would be a terrible appointment and would be typical of the short sighted view Fat Fred has shown in the past which has resulted in the position we now find ourselves in.

I don't want him! I'd rather Fat Fred took charge of first-team affairs himself, the thought of him in a tracksuit would be worth it. Seriously though, I think I prefer pretty much anyone ahead of Souness right now, but I definitely wouldn't want Venables. His track record makes Souness look like Hitzfeld, he's a failure and he's still living off a few good games at Euro 96.

We'd need to employ a chauffuer if he came here though cos he'd no doubt get his license taken off him after a late night kerb crawling trip to the Boro.
