That is really interesting - but makes me wonder if we're living in the moment when people in the future look back to and ask 'why didn't they do something to stop it before these guys had all the private militaries' and so on. Really is fascinating stuff. Essentially each cryptobro becomes his own sovereign.

The last time a Supreme Court justice was impeached was the early 1800s. I mean, I guess it possible but it would be batshit even by his standards and I don’t know how he would engineer it. It’s already a republican-dominated SC so probably not top of his in tray

There’s absolutely nothing to stop him appointing another 20 SC judges in the morning. The number needed isn’t stated anywhere, the SC used to be smaller. It’s only tradition that hasn’t seen presidents pack the court with friendly judges.
