The audacity of this gnomish scrote to come over here and think anyone gives the slightest fuck what he thinks about anything. I have actually stopped to keep track of all this stuff. I am doing what I am bound to do by law as a prosecutor myself, Vance and the likes are coming up with a lot of drivel to defend “free speech” totally ignoring a legal system being in place in Europe for a long time. I am unsackable and can eat a lot of 🥤,

I don't agree with it, but then apparently people in this country want protections for children and identification of terrorist threats more than they want privacy. Apple's issue with it isn't the UK government having access, it's that creating such access allows vulnerabilities that could be exploited by other governments. The US itself has also tried and failed to have a backdoor put in. What I will say in support of our government here, is that if we are prepared to have big tech firms pull their products from the market over policy decisions, even ones created by the previous government, then it's a healthy sign that politicians feel that the corporates are not or shouldn't be untouchable.
Rayvin 5889
Also a bit confused about your general view on this place tbh.. do you think we don't criticise Labour? I think I've gone for Starmer almost as much as the Tories, and specifically over principle. When is he gonna admit that Brexit is the main cause of our economic decline, is the big problem for me. We're on the left of the spectrum so we actually do deal in facts, evidence and data. Not fever dreams like the right.

Party politics is dead, it’s just where you stand on individual issues these days. Nobody can keep a big enough share of the vote any more. This Labour government has less of a mandate than Brexit yet they have a powerful majority. Not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with emotions informing your political view but I’m not sure the left can claim to stand for being fact based either. A simple question like “what is a woman” is something anybody on the right could answer.

Brexit had a tiny mandate though.. arguably no mandate at all when you consider that the specifics weren't in the referendum for anyone to vote on. Where is the 'big mandate' coming from? Where is the 'big mandate' coming from? In terms of numbers I mean. Almost twice as many people voted for Brexit compared to Labour last election. I do believe that people have a duty to integrate with the culture of any country that they move to. Whether that country is Iran or England or Spain.
