Aye Biden not just letting the justice system deal with Trump was disgraceful.

Biggest problem was the documents case landing in front of a ultra Maga judge delaying justice and bending the law until the election

Just a thought here, but I think Alan might be a little bit dumb :cuppa:

Trump explicitly states he will pardon the January 6 "hostages".

Vote for Trump.

Trump pardon the the January 6 "hostages".

Regrets voting for Trump.

Thicker than whale spunk. Fuck him.

We're between a rock and a hard place now and Trump knows it. If we get a relative sweet heart deal from the US (it won't be a good deal whatever it is), the EU will not be impressed. If we go for closer ties with the EU, the US will sanction us and right wing nutters here (which includes the official opposition) will do there thing in dividing the country. Economic gravity dictates apart from anything else we should go for closer ties with the EU. As does basic morality, you have to stand up to bullies. But I can see yet another shit storm on the horizon as Trump and Putin try to destroy Europe.

Wonder which people he is talking about here.? Surely not those lovely WHITE South Africans? This has got Musk written all over it, he won't rest until full apartheid is reintroduced.

These tariffs are all well and good until it fuels inflation and hits ordinary Americans in the pocket. There's a reason that other sane economies don't do this sort of thing.

Aye, that's the thing that I don't get, they impose tariffs on overseas businesses who pass that cost onto the US consumers. It's like offering someone out for a straightener and then punching yourself in the face.

I guess he's hoping that as countries like Canada are much more exposed they will capitulate before the negative impact on consumers become apparent.

What I don't get about this though is the damage it does to US soft power. Why bother negotiating a trade deal with the US, like Canada and Mexico have with NAFTA, when the orange shit gibbon doesn't hesitate on breaking it? But it goes further than that. Why have a US military base on your soil if they won't protect you etc? I think this will be the long term effect of Trumpism. Countries will have to rely less on the US going forward as they are at best an unreliable partner, at worst, a hostile one with trojan horses.

I think the Uk Gov can spin this very easily. Canada are already standing up to them.  From what I’ve seen they are all in on buying Canadian and they boo’d the US anthem yesterday at NBA.  Getting begin their country. We should all stand up to bullies.

America will end up like North Korea at this rate.

I think that's the plan. To create an "us vs the world" narrative. Isolationism to a point where the rest of the world is painted as an enemy of the US - which of course, only Trump and his cohort are capable of protecting them all from. They are stupid enough to fall for it too.

Or just the stupid belief America are the greatest and they dont need anybody else.

American exceptionalism is another sign of fascism. Hitler created this narrative in Germany in the 1930s. The similarities are becoming ever more jarring for me.

The irony being the average Joe American is actually pretty poorly educated and not very skilled. They don't lack self confidence though.

I worked with, and for, the fuckers for donkeys years one thing they have in abundance is a lack of common sense, zero, zilch, nadda and they are, in addition, incredibly immature.

They are also utterly shit at strategic thinking, something'll break today and they'll pull "all the stops" to fix it without a seconds thought of what pulling those stops will break tomorrow/next week/next month, repeat ad nauseum as the next thing(s) breaks (because they didn't think about it). That's what Musk/Trump are doing now just "fixing" shit (that's broken in their view) with out any thought of the ramifications.
