Of course it does

If a build has good add ons with good links = no buffering.

Aye it how nowt to do with data transfer/processing rates and is all about which links you choose. I will just take my degree in IT and sit on the naughty step.

Many a chap I've met with an IT degree who doesn't know there arse from their elbow. ;)

Popular add ons like Genesis get the most hits = most stress on their servers = buffering.

Having less popular add ons = less traffic = less buffering.

Same movies, different url, less chance of buffering.

Back on the naughty step with you.

What you said was nonsense, genesis doesn't use it's "own servers" you spastic, if it did you wouldn't have to choose from a list of options for which one you want to try

and most of them use the same list of sources

Of course it's not. Genesis has certain servers around the world that they use. As its popular, "their" servers get hammered, causing bottlenecks, causing buffering.

Rather it's like CT coming home with his new TV and a £75 gold plated HDMI cable that the salesman promised him would make the picture twice as good. Naturally he spends the next few months telling the world that they need to get themselves a £75 gold plated HDMI cable with no real understanding of how digital transmission actually works.

John Lewis sold me a gold plated scartg lead once.

Anyway, got kodi up and running yesterday thanks to Gemmill's idiot proof guide. Continuing the theme, put on the Beast as I'm time poor and couldn't be arsed faffing around more than necessary. Tried to watch the match, the streams I got were either terrible resolution but smooth, or good resolution but frequent buffering made them pretty unwatchable. I figured the beast was just a conduit to access these repositories, but does using it affect quality?

Also saw that it's easy to watch the latest films, if you're willing to randomly try a dozen or so links. Is there any way of predicting which will work? I' my not so bothered about this tbh as personally I think you should pay for films, and I want the best quality etc. I'd like to be able to watch Newcastle matches in high quality though.

There were quite a few poor game streams on yesterday. The best one yesterday was in Stael movies. (Under movies).

The official NJM add on is in the beast (not a rip off) and is usually quite good, but was patchy yesterday.
