It wasn't even that big a deal, just a great thread :D

It was a massive deal man, HMHM got flak from his mates and we all wasted precious time discussing a completely fabricated matter. That is simply unacceptable.

Is there a worse punditry pairing than Paul Scholes and Michael Owen?

 Fucking hell. I read an excerpt from Gary Neville's autobiography once about how after they won a significant trophy early in their careers (can't remember which it was) they were rounding everyone up to go out and celebrate and they found Scholes in his room, in bed, watching a film on his laptop while eating the wine gums he was excited to eat as he had bought them for the journey there but had forgotten them and was totally nonplussed about being dragged out. Couple that story with the bloke in that nightmarish helicopter video and I struggle to think of a duller combo.

... That's not cunning, it's fucking stupid. Based on that article, he would have made about 30c profit per share. For 15,000 shares, that's about EUR5k. Was that worth it?

What a monumental pillock.

Jesus, poor bloke.

Weird the number of super fit footballers or young former players this seems to happen to. You'd think their tickers would be in top condition after a life of elite level training.

RIP

Depends what they do afterwards I suppose, as an athlete you're meant to wind it down over a few years I think or it can lead to heart problems.

Although Ehiogu eventually moved into coaching, the break from football allowed him to follow his other passion, helping to set up record label Dirty Hit, which boasts the likes of The 1975, Ben Khan, Superfood, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Fossil Collective.

In 2010, he told Skysports.com: “I miss parts of football, I miss the banter, but I was lucky enough to have 20 years of playing and that was enough of training, playing and the discipline. It had taken its toll and my mind and my body were ready for a break.

“My love of football is massive, but my love of music is amazing.

“You have people eating out of your hands when you’re singing, you have people singing the lines of your song.

“Basically, the only difference would be that, socially, when you’re a musician it seems that you can get away with doing almost anything you like. It is deemed as being what a rock star does. That balance needs to readdress itself, but I don’t think it ever will.”

Shocking that like, 44 and no doubt super fit. Good player as well, think he got a cap or two? Rip

One of those players who should've had more caps but played at a time when there was a lot of competion for his position in the national squad. R.I.P :(

In fairness, anyone with the money to pull this off for major profit probably has better options.
