Dr Gloom 22216
Fuck, you don't expect something like that to happen on a football field. Awful news.
Howay 12496
Ryan Mason in intensive care following his clash of heads with Gary Cahill. Apparently fighting for his life. Awful news. I was watching that game and it looked bad at the time, it took them a good 10 minutes to move him from the pitch and the look on his face before the medical staff got to him was awful to watch. Howay 12496
It was a coming together, one player was pissed off at the other for a.late challenge and made the initial movement of the head so they butted together. The ref didn't even book him. Ewerk was arguing that kind of thing is always a straight red, I pointed out that it often goes unpunished because its basically handbags. It was similar to the incident in our game - not a zidane style Geordie kiss, in other words. Fair one, like I say I didn't see it. I think the thing is anytime you go to make contact with the head you're putting the decision in the hands of the referee, I always hate to see it because it's just ridiculously stupid on the players behalf. Tom 14021
Hull have said he suffered a fractured skull, underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition. The Mirror said he was fighting for his life, which people have taken exception to, even though it might have been true at some stage.

Howay 12496
Out cold, was he? I remember him actually sitting up a bit then lying back down, his hand was sort of on his forehead and he looked in shock. They had an oxygen tank out there and were holding his head stable but he kept moving his arm and kept bending his knee (which they kept carefully straightening out as they were trying to get him on the stretcher). I'm not sure if he was ever fully out or just dazed, it looked awful either way and I hope what Hull are putting up is right and he's stable. The thing I found odd was while they were trying to get him on the stretcher (he was sort of about the pen spot area) there were about 4 Hull players knocking the ball about right at the edge of the area and one of them was stood directly in front of the medical staff, I know they are professionals and aren't likely to misplace a simple pass but I remember thinking at the time surely they could do that off to the side a bit. wykikitoon 20945
Just listening to the radio and they are all saying how Raneri isnt under pressure at all.Isnt he? Hovering over the relegation zone and playing wank at home. Suppose they're in the CL still like. But still. What happens if he takes them down? Rayvin 5356
Dunno like, the man is a legend over there now. They're unlikely to go down and it'd be such an unpopular decision. If he takes them down they become a laughing stock I guess but if I was a Leicester fan I honestly wouldn't give a fuck. Not after what they did last season. Dr Gloom 22216
We can only dream of becoming that kind of laughing stock. It does sound like exactly the sort of thing that'd happen to us - champions to relegation the following season.
Rayvin 5356
It does actually yeah Pretty sure everyone on here would take that though.
Kid Dynamite 7204
I bet in hindsight he wishes he'd just retired at the end of last season You can't blame him for stopping on though, champions league football, only lost 1 player, spent a canny wedge too. I don't think anyone expected them to be quite this bad in the league
Dr Gloom 22216
Shows how important a player Kante was for them.

Rayvin 5356
Yeah that does seem to be the thing, doesn't it. This could be two PL titles on the trot for him.
Alex 35670
Think he obviously was/is a big player for both clubs but Leicester were always going to struggle a bit this season. I don't think there's much chance of them going down either.
wykikitoon 20945
Think Vardy did too much partying over the off season like At least we dont hear them bastard clacker things much now.
Alex 35670
I think they just had a few players in the form of their lives. Vardy and Mahrez in particular.
Rayvin 5356
Probably also demonstrates that momentum counts for a lot. Hopefully we can capitalise on the same sort of feeling next year.
Howay 12496
I think they just had a few players in the form of their lives. Vardy and Mahrez in particular.Aye, Huth and Morgan were absolutely solid ffs they never really had any bad injuries, all the commentators focused on heaping praise on the painfully average (if that) Danny Drinkwater while Kante was unbelievable (still is) and teams couldn't figure out how to stop Mahrez or Vardy. Alex 35670
They definitely got lucky with injuries as well, aye.
Howay 12496
It was similar to the season we came 5th, except better obviously. Mainly in that there were no bad injuries, a normally ropey bunch of defenders were brilliant, their goal scorer was in a mental purple patch and they had a central midfielder who was quality, their Ben Arfa was more consistent and everyone else was a little better but you could always see it was that type of one off season especially the way they scraped so many narrow wins 2nd half of the season. Not that many would have predicted this sort of drop off mind.
