Kid Dynamite 7034
http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37872020 FIFA are a fucking joke like, so that came up in the poppy discussion so they're going to go and punish Ireland 8 months later? Fucking disgraceful organization. Reminds me of my mate who found out 2 of his colleagues were getting shift allowance at work when he wasn't. Went straight to his bosses office to complain and the next day his 2 mates had lost their shift allowance
Howmanheyman 33272
Leazesque I was right post there Also, I see tomorrow's top-of-the-table Northern League clash between North and South Shields is a record 2,000+ sell-out. Canny Saw a thread on RTG where a Mackem is urging people to go along and support S Shields as N Shields supporters are all Mags who sing anti-safc songs and are all EX-GREMLINS. Cue a poster telling him he's talking shite but the lad is adamant they're all ex gremlins heading down to South Shields. There's loads on there love post about bother whether fictional or not. (Usually fictional).

NJS 4389
Funnily enough the last time I was in the NE I was talking to a couple of lads I know who'd started going to see West Allotment play when they couldn't get to our games and they said they'd been against N Shields and had seen some right heed the balls following them. I'd just put that down to it being North Shields than any Nufc connection though.
Alex 35113
Every 3rd thread on there these days is about South Shields for some reason Which is funny because the town itself is pretty much a 50-50 split. They claim anything that's in the historical county of Durham though. I saw someone on there saying the Duke of Northumberland stole Gateshead pits from one of the Prince Bishops. Which, apart from being a bizarre thing to bring up in itself, is fairly ridiculous considering Durham City could barely be less like (or more removed from) Sunderland. Kid Dynamite 7034
Ibrahimovic scored the Premier League's 25000th goal today Shearer, despite being retired 10years and injured for the best part of 3 seasons managed to score 1% of those goals himself That's a mental stat considering there's been roughly 3500 different players in the premier league era Edited November 6, 2016 by StraightEdgeWizard
Rayvin 5226
That is a good stat...! Hard to imagine anyone beating him for the foreseeable as the league's all time top scorer. Rooney certainly won't...

Gemmill 44988
Gareth Southgate to be named permanent England manager. A likeable bloke with nothing like enough experience. English though, so there's that.
ewerk 30656
He'll get them qualified for a major tournament and after that they'll likely not do much. So pretty much on a par with every other England manager in recent times.
Dr Gloom 21963
If you looked at the best possible candidates for the England job I doubt Southgate would make a shortlist of 50. Farcical. England should just do us all a favour and retire from international football.

rogerbarton 24
Hit the nail on the head, Gloom. It's almost like they've made such a mess of the last 4 appointments that they've given up.
Alex 35113
Generally speaking, if you look at the better international sides then they have a settled team at their core. The likes of Wales and even Portugal are two that spring to mind, albeit they each possess a genuine world class player but more what I'm getting at is they way in which they sort of grown as a side together and each of them knows what their team mates are capable of and exactly what their roles are. A bit like a club side. England recently, and more particularly at the last Euros were the antithesis of that. When you look at the players England have they aren't going to be favourites to win anything but they also have some canny players and are obviously a level above the likes of Iceland whom they should be more than capable of beating. You get freak results from time to time where a side dominates and still loses but England were outplayed and outfought (and outthought in all honesty) by a team Newcastle would probably beat 7 or 8 times out of 10). With that in mind I'd like to see the England manager adopt something like that long termism and, in a sense, the manager and the tactics are less important than having that in place. You see teams like Germany who build a team from the u21's and keep them there until they feel theyre ready whereas our players "are too good" for the u21 tournaments and their club teams moan on about resting them etc
Alex 35113
Yeah, I don't see how that tournament experience can be anything but a good thing for the national side but it's all about what's good for the clubs. There needs to be a balance and the richest FA in the world don't do their job properly.
