Park Life 71
"Don't try this at home," said Saul Villeda of the University of California, San Francisco, an author of one of three papers published online Sunday by the journals Nature Medicine and Science. He worked with mice that were roughly the equivalent of people in their 20s and 60s. Researchers repeatedly injected the older mice with blood from either the younger animals or other aged mice. Those that got the young blood did better in learning and memory tests than the mice given the older blood. For example, they performed better at recalling where to find a submerged platform in a maze. Villeda said the researchers are trying to figure out what's in the young blood that made the difference. The two other papers, from Harvard University, focused on a substance that is more abundant in the blood of younger mice than old. That protein, called GDF11, is also found in human blood and its concentration also appears to decline with age, said Amy Wagers, an author on both papers. toonotl 3106
Usually when someone says, 'Hey that's interesting. Where'd you hear that?' I give a book title or something. Not a collection of images that capture the essence of my last acid trip.

Happy Face 29
Icke was writing about it 25 years ago and went on record for Heath to sue him for defamation something which was obviously never taken up. Back then of course everybody just dismissed it as Icke was deemed a top 'nutter'. With good reason, given the lizard overlord talk. He did more harm associating his mad headed views to the more serious rumours because it all gets dismissed as conspiratorial loopiness, when some claims he jumped on should have been taken more seriously than others he tarred with the same brush. Toonpack 9927
Even if Icke had "kept it real" 25 years ago there was much more limited news availability, the establishment could have kept a lid on/marginalised him with or without lizards tbh.
