there is a broader story about the sharing economy being great for consumers while shafting the service providers.

 

on demand delivery drivers are feeling the pinch as they're being paid per job now, rather than per hour. i guess that was always the case with cabbies, but uber has undercut the traditional taxi so much that they can't exactly be coining it in.

 

brilliant service though.
