TEAM NEWS

Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe will return after six weeks out with a knee injury, but Mario Balotelli (illness) and Adam Lallana (groin) are likely to miss out.

Emre Can is back from suspension but Martin Skrtel and Steven Gerrard complete bans, while a hamstring injury rules out Mamadou Sakho.

Newcastle defender Daryl Janmaat should be fit despite a calf problem.

Neither Rolando Aarons nor Siem de Jong will feature despite returning to training after injury lay-offs.

We've had a good 90 minutes out of Carver but that's it.

45 against Arsenal & 45 against Chelsea IIRC - but that could be disputed.

Tonight will be our 6th loss in a row. Nice one lads

Horrific team, and just the sort of game we win out of the blue. Probably not tonight though

Aye, under Pardew this would be the type of game he'd win to go on a little run to average out the shitty run we've had. Under Carver this will be exactly what we are all thinking going in, we'll be so deep in our own half that the ball will barely make it past the half way line. This could get embarrassing for a normal side, 4-0 or so, however as we've suffered that sort of beating in alarming amounts over the last few year we'll all move on after this embarrassment. Carver to inevitably blame the players genetic make up again.
