aimaad22 4156 Posted January 1, 2015 Share Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) Not really too harsh on Alnwick, he's 21, not a kid, and he's had tons of experience in goal albeit not in the Premier League. I recall Krul at an early age being thrown into the breach in the Champions league when Given & Harper were injured. He did well, which is more than I can say for Jak......... As Alex said it took years for Krul to be our proper no.1, you could see he's got talent but he wasnt immediately ready for Premier league level. Im not saying Alnwick is definitely going to be great or anything but he's a rookie, just look at some of the fixtures he's had to play in from out of nowhere with very little competitive experience at the top level. It sometimes takes seasoned professionals from other leagues a whole year or so to properly adjust to this league, we're taking about a kid here, 21 is nothing for a goalkeeper.
