catmag 337
Anybody actually 'celebrating' and doing something exciting or is it early nights all round to avoid the inevitable anti-climax?
Meenzer 15792
We've got a friend visiting from Norway who broke his leg recently, so we'll just have to stay at home and drink in front of the telly instead of standing in the cold for hours to see some fireworks through binoculars. Shame.
Howmanheyman 34267
Anybody actually 'celebrating' and doing something exciting or is it early nights all round to avoid the inevitable anti-climax? I don't believe in anti-climaxes. But aye, I'll be stopping in.

PaddockLad 17900
Dinner round some friends house then round a couple of ludicrously expensive bars before heading to some other friends house party.....it could all be really good, but me and mrs PL have been banned from taking our usual Thai red bull & sang som whiskey round after causing the hostess's sister to have some sort of psychotic episode at a barbecue in the summer after a particularly potent "bucket". Jill 0
Few friends round - couple of drinks early on in the local pubs then back to ours. Thought we might as well volunteer to host as the place is still reasonably tidy from our pre-Christmas clean.
The Fish 11037
Going anywhere public for New Years Eve is consistently shit. Up at the folks' so probably see in the new year over a dram with my dad, then bed soon after I suppose. Kind of regretting choosing this over London house parties but thats in direct contradiction of the knowledge that New Years is consistently shit. Gemmill 46774
I'm in the box at the match on NYD, so if any of you riffraff are planning to attend, if you could keep the noise down please, so I can enjoy the spectacle.
aimaad22 4265
Dont really get the fuss with new year's. We've got our fair share of holidays but nobody really seems to be bothered with new year's. The only time I remember it creating a bit of fuss was in 2000. I can certainly see the appeal in having a 'holiday' barely a week after the last one though Edited December 29, 2014 by aimaad22
Ayatollah Hermione 14184
Will be going to a friend's house to drink some of the peeve I got for Christmas. Used to work it every year (in a band) but the increased money isn't worth the hassle of dealing with the kind of knackers that get blitzed on New Year. Just for the record, I have it on good authority that you can go at least twice more this season and still be on a boycott.

Inochi 0
With a near six month old, I'll be lucky to last until midnight. Although, I'll see more than enough of the early hours of the morning. Can't say I'm bothered, mind. He's a cracking excuse to decline invites to inevitably shit house parties.
