2 train stations, 10 dead, many injured. :(

Fucking brave of them, the cowardly cunts.

Happy for you that you'll have your 72 virgins in heaven, but you're guaranteeing death for hundreds of thousands of your fellow Muslims.

Is it safe to say Muslims at this point?

Is it Islamic terrorism? Seems uncertain at the moment.

EDIT - I do note that ISIS has threatened Russia in the past few days...

I've waited to meet friends at that spot in Stockholm more often than I'd care to remember. (Whereas I've lived in London for 11 years and hardly ever been on Westminster Bridge. Such is the life of the Eurovision fan.) Anyway, fuck these loser nutjobs who think they can stop city folk from barely tolerating each other's presence in crowded spaces. Never going to happen. :good:

It happened in the same part of town as where Olof Palme and Anna Lindh were murdered, and I don't think the Swedes are naive about how safe and secure they really are as a society, but obviously it's different when it's random members of the public being targeted. They're responding at a public level just as you'd expect a western democracy to do, but I'm sure the usual stuff is brewing below the line.

After the attack on a teambus from Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening, security authorities examine whether the attack could have an Islamic background. This is due to information from S üddeutscher newspaper , NDR and WDR that a unilateral letter was found at the scene, which begins with the words "In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful." The document refers to the attack on the Berlin Christmas market and claims that German tornadoes are involved in assassinating Muslims in the Caliphate of the so-called Islamic State.

Therefore athletes and other celebrities "in Germany and other Kreuzfahrer nations" would be on a "death list of the Islamic state." This applies until the German tornadoes are withdrawn and the American air base is closed in the Palatinate of Ramstein. The letter is not signed.

German prosecutors said that two Islamic extremists were the focus of the attack probe and that one of them has been detained.

Koehler says authorities have "significant doubts" about another letter posted online claiming an anti-fascist group carried out the attack.

The injured policeman was a motorcycle outrider escorting the coach to the stadium when the three bombs detonated. He suffered hearing damage.
