beatty 24
Gouffran playing at #10 is laughably defensive. We're at home to QPR and we're playing defensive minded players in advanced positions.
acrossthepond 877
Gouffran playing at all is laughable, he is so rubbish these days. Taylor going off killed any momentum we had, he was really driving us forward.
beatty 24
Am baffled why Gouffran came on ahead of Anita. Gouffran has gone in at 10, which has forced Sissoko to play deeper. Two issues then as Sissoko does his best work in the final third and Gouffran does no attacking work in the final third. Just bring the CM we have on the bench on and carry on with the system? Vurn's a better footballer than Taylor anyway
Anorthernsoul 1221
Gouffran is the most pointless footballer we've ever had, gives us absolutely nothing.
beatty 24
Also I'm sick of hearing, "Dummett launching it towards Perez." Lad is up against Dunne and co. Just getting beasted on every hoof. We have 4 lads in attack who are really good with the ball at their feet. Let them play and not try this second ball winning hoof ball, at home to QPR? beatty 24
Gouffran is the most pointless footballer we've ever had, gives us absolutely nothing. Wasn't always the case. He's been molded into Jonas mark II.
aimaad22 4156
Played some decent stuff at the start but its all gone now since Taylor's gone off. Gouffran ffs. Could have put on Anita or Cisse and moved Perez behind him. Needs a spark from somewhere.
Ausman 0
Hard luck for Taylor, he seems to be cursed. I would have put Cisse on, he adds more than Gouffran.

StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Should get Cabella behind the striker and Gouffran out wide. Stupid and pointless substitution from Pardew tbh.
beatty 24
This reminds me of the Leicester game. We're at home to lower table dross and utterly terrified of them.

StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Cabella should never be coming off if were after a goal. The Gouffran substitution has handicapped any tactical moves we could make.
beatty 24
Should have taken Gouffran off for Cisse.

Howay 12496
Has Cabella ever played a full 90 for us? Really gutted for Taylor, he was having a good game up to then as well. Agree that the games changed since that poor sub, feel bad for Perez as well just having to try and beat Dunne and Caulker in the air for the ball as they keep lumping it up to him. Seems to be Pardews way anytime the game plan is interrupted with an injury we switch to just smacking it up field.

beatty 24
Don't forget this gem lads: “The right hand side of midfield, if we didn’t need him through the middle, is probably his best position. I don’t think, with the team at the moment, that he’s going to play out there when Obertan is playing so well, so it’s about him adapting his game." aimaad22 4156
Not a great performance but I'll take it considering the absences today. Sissoko the difference again, not just the goal but provided the only real drive we had and a couple of brilliant through balls for Ayoze and Cisse who should have finished them off. Krul's kicking was absolutely horrendous.
beatty 24
Dunno, we were only 2 players short of the team that won 2-0 last weekend and our 11 was comfortably superior to a team that has lost every single away game this season. 1-0 is not good enough at home to QPR. Cannot keep scraping through against the dross, it's unsustainable in the long run. We all know Pardew has a tactical set-up that does a job on the opposition attack and that it works well against the top teams, but he's had 3/4 seasons now to sort out a system that can beat the lesser teams far more comfortably than we manage. Holden McGroin 6585
Jesus man! Chelsea only beat them by 1 goal recently and Man City drew with them. I dont care how we keep winning. It feels good ! Nay, feels GREAT. (edit) Edited November 22, 2014 by Holden McGroin
