OTF 7297
Buoyed by his smug self belief Pardew has vowed to play attacking football as he seeks his third straight league victory, the fourth in all competitions. Hosting Brendan Roger's lukewarm Liverpool in the unpredictable state we're in little indication is given as to what we can expect. We can hope though that some of our better performing players get the chance to continue the performances we've seen since 45 minutes ticked over at White Hart Lane. I dare not make a prediction for this one. It'll be interesting to see what the atmosphere is like.
toonotl 2988
Could be anything really. Pardew won't attack though. Probably trying to play mind games because he's a tactical genius at pressers as well don't you know.
Rayvin 5226
Liverpool are poor right now, and we have some confidence about us. I'm going to go for 0-2 instead of the usual 0-4. I know it's optimistic, but I'm really starting to think Pardew has turned things around...
The Fish 10872
2-0 I reckon. Cabella to open his account.
Park Life 71
1-1 Balotelli sent off.
Howmanheyman 33270
Think we'll get twatted. The genius tactical mind game expert manager not factoring in the words 'Lord Mayors show', 'after' and 'law of averages' into his pre-game patter. Rodgers feverishly trying to work out our line up as I write this. ADP, or even OTF, needing to up his game with the soccer am style title of the thread. Ausman 0
"If and that's a big if" Pardew plays two up front, Riviere and Perez if Cisse isn't ready, then I think we will win this 2-0.
Howmanheyman 33270
Expecting the usual Liverpool-centric views from BT.

ULSTER MAG 0
Cabella, Aaron's and Perez all on the bench. Cisse back.
The Fish 10872
That's a fair bit of pace on the flanks. Set up for the counter
Monroe Transfer 0
With Abeid and Ameobi in the squad, is he finally starting to learn to pick players based on merit?

scoobos 298
It's been too long since I was excited on match day. Who knows how it'll go, I reckon I'm still in shock over man city. No better time to meet liverpool at home though, they've been in a slump. Park Life's probably right .. Edited November 1, 2014 by scoobos
Howmanheyman 33270
It's an old moan, like, but who gave BT sport permission to change our club's name to just 'Newcastle'?

OTF 7297
I'm evidently a fickle bastard. A couple of wins and I'm actually caring about one of our games.

OTF 7297
Joe Allen kicks the back of Sissoko's foot in the box, but apparently that's considered the ball according to the pro commentary team.
Rayvin 5226
I cant bear the commentary on Liverpool games... Also, this has to be the weakest looking Liverpool side for some time. Without Suarez and with an aging Gerrard, they do look rather ordinary... Sterling aside.
OTF 7297
Obertan once again really using his pace to good effect. Hope he can maintain this level of impact.

OTF 7297
Someone's evidently passed a note to the commentator saying that Joe Allen hasn't got the ball, so the tune has been changed and ow it was missed because Cisse was in the line of Mariner. That's as close as they'll come to acknowledging it was a penalty. Edited November 1, 2014 by OTF
Rayvin 5226
Liverpool certainly dominating at the moment, but I suppose that plays to our counterattacking plan.
OTF 7297
Both Obertan and Ameobi having no trouble getting in behind their fullbacks. Oh to have actual wingers!
