See where it says "variations".

They are without a doubt, some of the stupidest things I've ever read.

One where you steal a previously opened gift? Are you kidding? That's secret santa followed by an arsehole being an arsehole. One where you guess who was your secret santa.. that's what happens after every secret santa, so that's just secret santa. "Conspiracy Santa" Where everybody gets together to buy everybody a present isn't secret santa at all; you know who your santa is... it's everybody else.

And he less said about Secret Casino Santa the better.

And none of them are giving your boss a picture of yourself as a gift...

Of all the places to turn over.

What a fucking idiot

Tbf we don't advertise our office as we have proprietary software other government forces would like to copy. But it must have been a pisser to get all the way in and be confronted with banks of cameras live streaming him to various police forces and intelligence agencies across the globe.

Aye, he was sat on his laptop in the coffee shop a couple of years back.

I forget how scenic the lakes is sometimes. The drive from Bowness, through Grasmere and into Keswick must be up there with most places in the world

That is beautiful but, imo even better (if you're going to Bowness/Ambleside/Windermere from our neck of the woods) is to still come off at Penrith onto the A66 but almost immediately leave that and take the A592. That way you go past Dalemain, Ullswater and through Kirkstone pass. Obviously you might reconsider that if the conditions are icy but it's a fantastic drive. It's an A road too so it's a good road all the way. Even better if you come off the A69 just before Haydon Bridge and come via Alston over the Pennines past the Hartside Cafe.

I often take my bike up to Hartside Cafe in the summer. Highest cafe in the country apparently

I nearly said you'll probably know that route as you'll have been on your bike there.

Love that view from up there where the Pennines ends and you have that patchwork quilt of fields before the mountains of the Lake District loom in the background. Also love that route along the A592 because almost straight after leaving the A66 you feel like you're right in the Lake District. The scenery changes that quickly. I fucking love the Lakes like. We're dead lucky to live that close to such a beautiful place.

I love the Kirkstone Pass route almost as much as I love the fact it's classified as an 'A' road despite bits of it basically being a country lane dotted with road-rambling sheep who give precisely no fucks. :D

Aye  When I said it was a good road that's in relative terms of course.

Could use a weedy female cover version of a 70s/80s pop hit, but otherwise...

Nah, not enough CGI badgers for my taste.

...
