Dr Gloom 22187
So fuck? It's still hypocritical just saying, he's got a reputation for this sort of thing.

Alex 35616
Not the worst thing in the world for England if this innings keeps Amla's place as captain of the side.
Dr Gloom 22187
and with one, comes two. like london buses
David Kelly 1260
Just as the internet dropped in here Amla goes after a day and a half of boredom and I miss the fucker!
Dr Gloom 22187
and there goes another. we may still well end up with an innings lead. it always amazes me when one player can bat so serenely for so long on a docile pitch then a new batter comes in and gives it away so quickly
David Kelly 1260
Every wicket is being met with this twatting internet dropping!
Dr Gloom 22187
this partnership should be enough to secure the draw.
David Kelly 1260
I think the Amla and Faff partnership all but did that!
Dr Gloom 22187
i don't know, there was a collapse on the cards for a moment there when they lost 3 for 10 and were still around 200 down.
David Kelly 1260
20 wickets on this pitch never looked likely though.
David Kelly 1260
But aye these two have confirmed it.
Dr Gloom 22187
true, but you never know what can happen with the aid of scoreboard pressure - another cricketing cliche for alex. boycott has just come up with another on TMS - buffet bowling from finn, it's help yourself time
Dr Gloom 22187
clever declaration by amla. i wouldn't fancy batting out there now. watch this pitch suddenly turn into a minefield now
David Kelly 1260
Get through tonight and they might as well call it a draw without padding up in the morning.
Dr Gloom 22187
yes, may as well shake hands on it now.
Dr Gloom 22187
You have to love test cricket. Bit of cloud in the sky combined with day 5 pressure and suddenly there's a game on after four days of domination from the batsmen.
David Kelly 1260
Lucky the South African bowlers are even worse at staying behind the line than ours or a collapse was well and truely on there!
Dr Gloom 22187
and there goes root. only england could lose a game after declaring a first innings for more than
Alex 35616
England always do things the hard way. Much like NUFC. Still reckon it'll be a draw though but aye, it would be typical to lose it ;
Dr Gloom 22187
england have to bat the day out now. if they're bowled out by tea, SA could chase down any target with de villiers in there. they could just treat it like a one day game and have him opening the batting
David Kelly 1260
Staggering this morning so far. Was saying to me dad last night how there was no way we could lose this. Didn't even England could collapse quickly enough scoring few enough for them to win! I should have known better. Whatever the result of this though, the dropped catches have certainly allowed SA to get runs on the board and gain a massive amount of confidence. We could have really had them on the ropes with Amla (and Faff) struggling badly for runs and getting his captaincy questioned, a weakened bowling attack (that still looks likely to be without Steyn for the next test and without Philander for the series) and some yound inexperienced players coming in. But now I think our confidence will have took a bit of a hit and I think the next two tests will be very challenging.
Gemmill 46103
The BBC's text commentary is fucking brutal. "Nick 'Straight outa' Compton" ffs. I assumed Caroline Cheese would be responsible for that but it's some other fuckwit.
