OTF 7295
Where's the best place/area to stay in Newcastle with the one provision being that it has to be vehicle friendly. For a couple of nights in August.
trophyshy 7083
Tynemouth is canny. Pretty, easy ride into town or up the coast. Metro if you need it.
Monkeys Fist 42449
Depends what you're after from your stay. Most of the bigger city centre hotels have parking, Jesmond and Gosforth are nice suburbs a 10 minute walk from the city centre. You could stay on the coast and use the Metro system to get into the city, it's about 20 minutes ride. There's a lot of serviced apartments available for short hires now too. The Tyne valley has some beautiful villages if you're after a rural setting, but it's only half an hour at most from the city. Avoid anywhere south of the Tyne, unless you are Burt Reynolds in a canoe.
Happy Face 29
Avoid anywhere south of the Tyne, unless you are Burt Reynolds in a canoe. Â My auntie won't appreciate that.
Gemmill 44882
Depends what it's for. If it's boozing and you want to be in the city centre, there's stuff like the Jury's Inn. If you're with the missus and want something a bit nicer, there's Jesmond Dene House closer to town or stuff like Matfen Hall (danger of running into CT in a bathrobe) or Slaley Hall which are a bit further out.
