ClubSpinDoctor 0
Lee Ryder's insistence on calling him the 'killingworth lad' or 'lad from killingworth' is annoying the fuck out of me. Local papers don't need to be written in local slang.

Ken 119
Excellent news. Could not be happier. Will add to the team so long as others, more technical are brought in. High five to you Jacky. acrossthepond 878
All depends on how he's going to be used. If he's the Gosling replacement, he'll be a good squad player and good business on a free. If he's the Cabaye replacement, we're going to be relegated. We'll have to wait and see.

Reckon he's supposed to be the new Cabaye personally.

He's also a correspondingly better player than Gosling, but I agree that 50k a week for a squad player seems high - any confirmation of that number? ClubSpinDoctor 0
50k is what we should be paying our squad players if we were an ambitious club. For an Ashley signing it'd be high. But then his lack of transfer fee will subsidise that. Disgusting that we've concentrated our efforts on signing two players that shouldn't be starting games for us really. Terrifying prospect but I agree with you. The club has zero ambition at the moment and this fits perfectly. I have serious doubts that we ever had any intention of really signing Cabella with the amounts that we're supposed to have bid.

ClubSpinDoctor 0
I've read 37k p/w on a 5 year deal. With agent fees and signing on fees that's a £10m signing lads!
Kitman 2207
Is it even confirmed we've signed Colback? We can't compete with the likes of Hull if they make a late swoop..
Monroe Transfer 0
I've read 37k p/w on a 5 year deal. With agent fees and signing on fees that's a £10m signing lads! You could increase/inflate the cost of every player out there using that context, bet most 'cheap' players would suddenly look a lot less cheap if you factored in how much they'll cost over the terms of their contract. £37k p/w for a free Premier League squad player isn't that unheard of either.
