The Fish 10965
Just to be a pedant.... The club's made around £60m profit. Ashley's had £11m of a £140m loan paid back so far. That's not to defend him, every other billionaire owner in the league has converted their loans to equity Sports Direct Stock Price has gone up, but Ashley is struggling to turn that into a comparable immediate reward for himself, the board keep refusing him any windfall. Would it make any difference if they didn't refuse? I can't imagine he's simply waiting on that claiming that windfall before he sells up?

Not at all. I was just being a pedant about the term "£1.25bn profit" which suggested to me he's walked away with that wedge in his back pocket. trooper 940
This might be a daft question but I'll ask it anyway. The TV money the clubs are given is that just Sky's money or is that made up of Sky and PPV worldwide ?
Monroe Transfer 0
It's the latter mate. The Premier League are able to share so much money because they secure these ridiculous deals with overseas broadcasters (and Sky).
