Kid Dynamite 7030
My team at work is nominated for an award at the Trusts award ceremony at the Hilton this Friday night. I managed to get a ticket, free meal, good opportunity to do some 'networking', but just found out it's black tie only! Which is a shitter as I only own a blue and a grey suit Anyone know where I can buy a cheap (and I mean cheap!) black suit (slim/tailored fit) that won't look like it's come from 1994 Cheers

Kid Dynamite 7030
Cheers. Ill have a look through the metro tomorrow to see if a £50 suit is wearable. Otherwise I may as well just bite the bullet and get a £100 suit
catmag 337
'Black tie' doesn't automatically mean black suit these days though, it just means formal (unless you're going to the palace or something) If the do is at the Hilton I'd think you'd more than get away with a blue suit as long as you wear a tie etc.
Kid Dynamite 7030
Possibly. I'd feel quite the twat if I'm the only one not in a tux though....
ewerk 30616
£100? Last of the big spenders. You looked into hiring one?
ewerk 30616
£80? Fuck me, was £25 when I was renting one for my formal (albeit 12 years ago).
Dr Gloom 21924
You could always hire a tux if you don't envisage going to another black tie due anytime soon. I bought one about a decade ago and have only worn it twice.
desmondTUTU 0
£80? Fuck me, was £25 when I was renting one for my formal (albeit 12 years ago). The price has clearly gone hire since then.

ewerk 30616
Can anyone actually buy a decent suit for £100? A tux fair enough but surely not a suit.
Kid Dynamite 7030
Only dickheads and wideboys wear blue suits like. Alright James Dean I lost 2 clem last year so had to chuck my suits. Got a Navy suit and a Grey 3 piece suit. Only wear them for Weddings/Interviews these days so pointless dropping £500 on a suit no one will see
Dr Gloom 21924
Nowt wrong with a blue suit, though not at a black tie do, obviously. I'd never wear a black suit usually. Like a waiter innit.
