It's everything to do with highlighting to those remaining Phelps/WBB extremist media whores that no matter your religious beliefs you should not ram them down people's throats at all, let alone at times of grief and suffering. In their case their propensity to behave in that manner indicates that they do not have a problem with doing so, so have no right to feel aggrieved if their own modus operandi is enacted upon them. The desired outcome would be to stop their behaviour. Unfortunately given they are ultimately only looking for media attention that may be unlikely.
