ClubSpinDoctor 0
Is he shite. He is like, he's been widely ridiculed because some daft knacker paid £35m for him. He's a tidy on the ground, brilliant in the air, strong. And when he gets a run of games and gets sharp he scores some goals. He does seem a bit injury prone now though. ewerk 31204
If he was as good as he was last time for us then he'd certainly be worth £15m. But the injuries and lack of form coupled with the chance he'll go back on the piss would put me off him for anything above £10m.
ClubSpinDoctor 0
He'd stop all of our corners being completely pointless as well, that's worth a few million. I definitely wouldn't worry about us paying over £10m for someone, ewerk! Edited July 21, 2014 by ClubSpinDoctor
jonasjuice 0
Injury free he'd be worth 15m imo, reality is he'll probably always miss large chunks of a season and he's not good enough when fit to compensate for that.

He has the talent and physical tools to be a canny prem striker, but like you say his injury record since he left us is atrocious and likes a drink. I agree with CSD that he probably gives more effort for Newcastle than he has elsewhere but 15m would be a risk. If he was available for 6-8m I'd be chuffed to see him back, but at 15m+ and 100k a week wages, I can't see Ashley going for that.
Kid Dynamite 7171
I hope we sign one more striker, we need it, but on a more positive note Cabella and De Jong have me more excited about a player than I can remember for a long time.
Christmas Tree 4827
It's all gone a bit quiet. I'm guessing we've been monitoring the Remy and lanzacette ? situation and are now looking further down the list.

ohhh_yeah 2991
I personally dont believe we'd sign AC....the transfer fee is too high as are his reported wages (120k pw). I also think Fat Sham thinks he's a key player for him (altho the porn barons would probably love to shift him as he hasn't been value for money.) I suspect this is just paper talk or his agent trying to drum up interest.... David Gold: "I have no reason to believe that Andy Carroll is leaving." David Kelly 1260
I don't really see the benefit in us loaning players like that. If he's a success Arsenal won't sell him at the end of it, if he's not then we won't want him. And I couldn't really see him coming as a starter so he's not likely to make much of an impact when he is here.

Andrew 4857
That's over £100m in transfer fees he's commanded before his 24th birthday. Impressive. This is taken from Reddit so may not be accurate but apparently the transfer fees for Ronaldo, Bale and James now equate to 265 million euros, which is more than Ajax have spent on transfers in their entire history. Be "interesting" to see how that stacked up against us @happyface
Tom 14013
Yeah that's pretty insane overall but I supposed Ajax have always been about development. Dortmund/Barcelona etc ended up knicking their model but I suppose it's still insane that they'll spent so little. That said they tend to sell cheap and don't seem to spend daft money on incoming transfers.

ohhh_yeah 2991
James Rodriguez signs for Real Madrid for £63 million Does all of the cost of these Brazucas he is kicking into the stands count against that number?
