The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread

Makes sense for them to try and sign a centrehalf and more importantly to make a signing early into the window.

Why the transfers aren't sorted before the window opens is beyond me.

Say what you like - he will make an immediate impact at the mackams. I'm the last man to be hyping up their players, but this lad isn't shite or unproven by any means. He's the captain of the under 21 Germany side isn't he? That's when I saw him a couple of years ago (I work with a German football nut)

He might've been once but hes 25 now and has hardly played in 3 years.

Bayern aren't letting a decent player go for less than a million pounds.

Hes only signed an 18 month deal as well.

As an aside, is it any surprise Allardyce is bringing in a big lump?

Hes been on about building a team around Jermaine Defoe this morning as well.

Building a team around a 33 year old...

Shanghai, probably on insanely high wages. A week down and we've seen nothing more than links to people we get linked to most Windows and a token bid for Lacazette, I thought the large threat of getting relegated would stir them into action but I guess not.

Wow...I'm going to state the obvious just for kicks.

I've just looked at our future fixtures and I can only pick out two where we "should" win...Bournemouth at home and the Scum at home.

We are in serious jeopardy of going down, more so than the past few years if we don't take in some major reinforcements. SOON! YOU BASTARDS!!!

We deserve to get relegated. The people in charge are shit, the owner is shit, the management is shit. The players are just passing through, some don't give a fuck, some of them are shit. We are a great club that has been consistently mismanaged and dry humps its loyal supporters every season whilst taking their cash.

Relegation at some point in the next 2 seasons seems a certainty to me. And we'll deserve it because the club's owned by a greedy tool and his incompetent lickspittles with no intention of competing for anything.

Us buying a striker now, or waiting until the end of January to hold a club to ransom over a million or two, could be the difference between us staying up or going down. Miraculously our players still seem to have confidence at the minute and getting a goalscorer in could see us go on a winning run. Another 2-3 losses on the bounce and we could deteriorate to Villa's level

Aye, you could see us waiting until the last minute instead of having new player(s) available for an extra 3 or so league games. All part of the owner's bizarre logic. I wonder what all the lowest common denominator journos will say about him making us financially sound if we go down again. Probably blame the fans for getting rid of Pardew

See Bournemouth have went and got Afobe from Wolves, wasn't that the lad we were interested in. So they've signed Itrube and Afobe to play up front (26m in total for both if they sign Iturbe in the summer) meanwhile our lot are sitting doing fuck all, guess it's hard when you have to compete with clubs like Bournemouth...
