Howay 12496
A forward line of Keane and Defoe, the mackems love resurrecting strike partnerships about a decade past their prime as it was Cole and Yorke the last time ffs.
Dr Gloom 21924
I genuinely forgot Cole played for them.

Rayvin 5223
Judging by the FM players comments on here, Coric would be a good move. Edited January 24, 2017 by Rayvin
Kevin Carr's Gloves 3894
Is the Express any better at sports reporting than normal reporting? That sentence does not look right. Edited January 24, 2017 by Kevin Carr's Gloves
rogerbarton 24
The Croatian story was reported by the Chronicle at the weekend too. Would be good to see us stealing a march with these kinds of signings - it fits in with a more ambitious version of Ashley's transfer blueprint too. I find it quite hilarious that the mackems could have a centre back pairing of Lescott and Jagielka and frontline of Robbie Keane and Defoe at the end of this window. As referenced above, that's 34, 34, 34, 36. Genuinely think it's still not half a bad strikeforce like.

Andrew 4762
So Coric rather than Townsend? Benkovic for who though, we do have a really young set of centre backs.
The Fish 10857
So Coric rather than Townsend? Benkovic for who though, we do have a really young set of centre backs. Benkovic can play further forward and I'm assuming he'd be able to fill in across the back line? The £25m for the pair may well be split £18m for Coric and £7m for Benkovic to make sure Ante Coric has a football fwend.
Rayvin 5223
Except it says Benkovic is £25m on his own, and Coric another £10m
The Fish 10857
Except it says Benkovic is £25m on his own, and Coric another £10m Where does it say that? I saw this in the Chronicle A report in Sportske Novosti suggests that United have had an offer of around £25million turned down for the duo by Croatia Zagreb. David Kelly 1245
Fish on fire again I see it looks like we've moved on from Townsend to Modu Barrow. Predictable and totally underwhelming.

Dr Gloom 21924
update from the bint like taylor Louise Taylor Newcastle fans are out in force on Andros Townsend watch and we have an update from Louise Taylor Newcastle are displaying serious interest in taking Modou Barrow, the Banjul born, Swedish bred winger on loan until the end of the season. The Gambian/Scandi has struggled to establish himself in south Wales and Newcastle fans would be infinitely keener on Robert Snodgrass or Andros Townsend. A mooted move for the latter has hit an impasse but only time will tell if Barrow is merely a red herring in a possible game of bluff designed to ensure Townsend ends up back on Tyneside - or a player genuinely coveted by Rafa Benitez......And, remember, Mike Ashley doesn’t really want to spend this month but Benitez feels investment is necessary so much hinges on whether the owner or manager wins that particular battle of wills......
