Swansea might be a decent bet for relegation; they've sold Williams and Ayew, and they've bought Leroy "Relegation Guaranteed" Fer.

Hull and Burnley are almost guaranteed for relegation at this stage but Swansea are certainly making the effort to join them.

Mackems haven't strengthened either, mind you. Losing Kone would be a big blow and it doesn't look like they'll have Yedlin or M'Vila either.

They have signed that kid who played 5 minutes for Chelsea though! I thought Mvilla was still looking likely? But aye if they lose Kone they're not looking at all good and they're only a reasonable Defoe injury away from meltdown.

Looks like a Borini style saga, if he was keen on rejoining them he'd have signed already, wouldn't he?

Have they had any offers accepted for him? Didn't Borini say he wanted to stay at Liverpool after they agreed a fee?

He was supposed to be having a medical a week ago, but I've seen nothing since then. Mind you, he's a French player at a Russian club and I can imagine that there are many, many layers of bullshit they have to get through before the deal goes through.

The mackems at work seem to think he'll be back there. But they think shagging their sisters is a good idea so I don't pay any attention to them.

This kind of uncertainty can't be good for the team. He's not been training with them has he? And if he doesn't stay, they've not much time to source a replacement.

It's been a pretty awful pre season for them really. Not in terms of results on the pitch (think they've won a few) or in terms of whhat they've ended up with as manager but in terms of the uncertainty and lack of squad building. They seem to feel like they're in a good position because they ended last season on a high, but that high only lifted them to forth bottom and so far their squad is weaker.

Mackems sign Papy Gigio?!  Who the hell is that?  Never heard of him.  My parents have, though. :dunno:

You mean Djilibodji (sp?) Young Chelsea centreback.

The rumour about us chasing Sylla from Anderlecht seems to be gathering momentum, but that could just be wishful thinking. Also rumblings that we're still chasing Knockaert from Brighton. Holy shit if we sign those 2 and a full back :spinwank:  :bloodywank:

More likely we'll end up with David McGoldrick and Ola john standard players instead.

He's 27, the reason he never played was that he's shit.

Phillipe Auclair said, at the time he signed for chelsea, that he wasn't good enough for ligue 1 nevermind the premier league.

Chelsea bought him and then immediately didn't bother putting him in their champions league squad, he played 1 minute for them in 6 months before being stuck out on loan.

27?! Jesus christ, I thought he was 24!

Have we given up on Shelvey then? I agree he's no holding midfielder but I thought he looked ok in the playmaking role at times last season.

I still think he was the pick of the middle 4 in the first half. I've said for months we should be after Hughes from Derby. Rafa seems insistent on playing 2 defensive midfielders and leaving the 3 behind the striker to create. It doesn't work though, we'd be better off going 442
