Christmas Tree 4857
As someone who is bored enough to look through the NUFC hashtag, he 100% just bases stories on Twitter gossip. The thing with local rags (dying on their feet) is that it's all about getting people to click through to the chronicle website. I believe most journalists have a daily "click" target they have to hit.
aimaad22 4222
Tremendous business by the club so far. Really turned a corner. Are you surprised? No doubt a couple of last minute panic buys will follow in August, after we've sold the likes of Cisse and thus we'll end up with an even weaker squad than last season. But we're aiming for trophies now dont forget.
Christmas Tree 4857
I think we'll see action this week. I think some people are unrealistic about the process involved in securing a transfer. We have been in turmoil for years and nearly got relegated. Its not the best sell in the world. With Simpson leaving Derby yesterday its looking as though the back room staff is now in place. We also will have a range of targets that we are working through via agents while players are on holiday. I think McClarens appointment, together with the new back room team highlights things are changing at the club and I have no doubt that we will see good signings arrive at the club. I also think the changes already in place (manager / coaches) will get the best out of the the squad we already have. Going to be an exciting season. Well, we only got him because he's a money grabbing bellend, so I'm not going to be upset that he remains so. Don't understand people upset that Sissoko is/was pushing for a move to a bigger club. Few people saying that it's likely we'll do business after Wednesday (July 1st) because of the financial/fiscal/tax/moneystuff year. Make sense to anyone who actually knows what they might be talking about?

There's a difference between going to the highest bidder in the Premier League and effectively going into semi-retirement by going to play in China. And it doesn't particularly upset me, I just think it's a shame that he is more motivated by cash than playing in the Champions League. And the finance thing was discussed last week, no real reason behind it other than making the balance sheet look better.

ewerk 31230
I don't know if the 1st July is at all relevant to our transfer policy but we did sign De Jong last year on 1st July. Maybe just a coincidence.

Kitman 2207
Its all about the quality coaching. Or in other words, another year of Iron Mike at the back and Riviere up top. Going to be an exciting season.
ewerk 31230
There obviously is money there but you have to question whether Lee Charnley is capable of actually making the deals. Our low balling take it or leave it stance may have worked on occasions but it can't be how we approach every transfer.

Gemmill 46141
Difficult to know who's to blame here. Whether Charnley is genuinely hamstrung by parameters set by Ashley, or whether he's just utterly inept at deal making. Probably a lethal combination of the two. trooper 940
Nearly every premiership club has made some kind of signing Bournemouth alone have signed 6. Admittedly a few are on freebies but at least they're having a go. It's all right having this sparkly new manager and backroom staff what about a few new quality players to go with them. Gemmill 46141
Maybe, just maybe..... Nobody's to blame, bearing in mind it's still June. It's almost July and the squad are back in training. And we're seeing a repeat of reports where our offer for a valuation is some way south of the market value. At some point we are going to need to realise that there is a fundamental error in the way we are approaching transfer business, as at the minute we are pretty much the textbook example of Einstein's definition of insanity. Not to mention that you've been predicting "3 in this week" since the season ended. Edited June 29, 2015 by Gemmill
