Is he shite.

He is like, he's been widely ridiculed because some daft knacker paid £35m for him. He's a tidy on the ground, brilliant in the air, strong. And when he gets a run of games and gets sharp he scores some goals. He does seem a bit injury prone now though.

If he was as good as he was last time for us then he'd certainly be worth £15m. But the injuries and lack of form coupled with the chance he'll go back on the piss would put me off him for anything above £10m.

:aye: He has the talent and physical tools to be a canny prem striker, but like you say his injury record since he left us is atrocious and likes a drink. I agree with CSD that he probably gives more effort for Newcastle than he has elsewhere but 15m would be a risk. If he was available for 6-8m I'd be chuffed to see him back, but at 15m+ and 100k a week wages, I can't see Ashley going for that.

I personally dont believe we'd sign AC....the transfer fee is too high as are his reported wages (120k pw). I also think Fat Sham thinks he's a key player for him (altho the porn barons would probably love to shift him as he hasn't been value for money.) I suspect this is just paper talk or his agent trying to drum up interest....

I don't really see the benefit in us loaning players like that. If he's a success Arsenal won't sell him at the end of it, if he's not then we won't want him. And I couldn't really see him coming as a starter so he's not likely to make much of an impact when he is here.

That's over £100m in transfer fees he's commanded before his 24th birthday. Impressive.

This is taken from Reddit so may not be accurate but apparently the transfer fees for Ronaldo, Bale and James now equate to 265 million euros, which is more than Ajax have spent on transfers in their entire history.

Be "interesting" to see how that stacked up against us @happyface

Yeah that's pretty insane overall but I supposed Ajax have always been about development. Dortmund/Barcelona etc ended up knicking their model but I suppose it's still insane that they'll spent so little.

That said they tend to sell cheap and don't seem to spend daft money on incoming transfers.

James Rodriguez signs for Real Madrid for £63 million

Does all of the cost of these Brazucas he is kicking into the stands count against that number? Never seen a player do this at an unveiling.
