ewerk 30295
Ashley could theoretically run us for another 66 years with a net loss of £50m each year from his current wealth. But no, we'll wipe our own nose.

Happy Face 29
But got £50 million for Torres. That was 10/11. They sold £6m of talent last year.
Happy Face 29
Proper Accounts out rather than the headlines the club announced. View here Just starting to read now so will provide commentary if there's anything interesting. First off, there's this on page 2.... In 2012 we played 20 home games (1 in the cup), in 2013 we played 26 (7 in the cup). Income Per Game 2012 - £1.19m 2013 - £1.07m That £126k per game drop in matchday income is about 10.5%, but they're painting it as a success. Happy Face 29
Also on page 2, the groups charity donations have dropped from £22,600 to £6,271 (72% drop). The evil bastard
ewerk 30295
In fairness most of those cup games had attendances well below what we'd get for a league game, also tickets would have been much cheaper to encourage attendance.
Happy Face 29
The £18m Ashley had planned to take out last year but didn't, remains earmarked to be paid to him this year. Bang goes Remy's replacement.

Why's it fair to let him off the hook on cup games being sparsley attended? That's his fault, they always used to sell out. Season tickets holders generally pay less for the league than they do for the cup too.

ewerk 30295
When did we ever sell out for UEFA/EL group games?
ewerk 30295
Suggests corroboration of the Jonas story from Alan Oliver? Oliver's story suggested that he would be due a new contract in the event of playing a certain number of games, that states that a payment will be due to another football club. I'd say it's probably payments based on Cup wins or European qualification.
Happy Face 29
As previously, Sports Direct pay nothing for promotion. There's a new agreement in place on NUFC buying goods from Sports Direct to be sold on.
Happy Face 29
When did we ever sell out for UEFA/EL group games? Alreet, exagerration. But... Assume the same income from the league in 2012/2013. That leaves £3.9m additional income from the Europa. That would be £557k a game. So half what we get in a league game. Despite the crowds averaging 35,000 (70% of capacity) and everyone buying tickets rather than being covered by their STs.
ewerk 30295
Aye, that works out at about £15 a ticket which was what was charged iirc. It's one more reason why Ashley doesn't want EL football.

ewerk 30295
So we made a £19m profit on players and a £4.7m operating profit yet only posted a £18.7m overall profit? I assume the difference must be the tax.
trooper 940
I thought the guesstimate was £50/60 million
