trophyshy 7084
So now you won't be happy if we do spend money, is that what you are saying ?? No. What the fuck are you on about ??? There are no guarantees with a management change, we as much as most should realise that. There are guarantees sticking with a manager though. I wouldn't object quite so much to our obvious predicament if our manager could actually get some decent, consistent football going. He's an oaf who is fortunate to both be in the role and have enough 'magic' players to carry the can for him now and then. When the football is dire it strips away the last vestiges of delusion that there is any good reason to support these complete mugs who've stolen our club and piss on the city. desmondTUTU 0
The only time i can recall when this fat fucking cunt nearly fucked off was when he and his family felt too threatened to come to games. Food for thought.
Dr Gloom 22149
This is worse than the relegation season ???? really ?? The owners an unreadable cunt - and always has been, people like him are, accepted and filed away in the "not for further review" part of my brain. Club is well off, minted even, been painful getting there, but we're loaded (not Oligarch or Arab loaded, but comparatively so). We're 7th in the table even after a disastrous spell of results. We're shit in the cups, well that's nowt new to me tbh. (and yes I think they tried, certainly against Citeh in the League Cup and Cardiff in the FA, we just happen to be shit at it). Oh aye it really could be worse. Honestly? Our prospects under Ashely are more good than bad? Do you really believe that?
Monroe Transfer 0
Toonpack fwiw I much preferred the relegation season. Really? That was the worst time of my life as far as being a football fan goes. Hated every second of it, couldn't believe how badly things had gone and how badly the club were handling it. Full of trepidation of us struggling to get out of the Championship (doing a Boro basically). Much rather be a bit apathetic about results and angered about the lack of ambition, than seeing this club go through that again. I've joked that I sometimes wish we were fighting for our lives this season as it'd at least give me something to get excited about on a Saturday afternoon, but the reality of actually being relegated... Toonpack 9945
Honestly? Our prospects under Ashely are more good than bad? Do you really believe that? I never said that, what I said was, we could be a lot worse off and that our "current" position is not really that bad, there are only currently 7 clubs better than us currently (one of which, Everton, we should by rights be better than). Howmanheyman 33841
Chelsea made a profit two years ago so they're ok for now. Think it has to be three years in a row and they're allowed so much loss, can't remember how much but their lucrative deal with adidas will have helped them. Do we even have qualified people looking for big deals and why would a company want to get involved with a self confessed austere, limited and unambitious club? How many times does the Manager mention our limitations? The sky is not the limit here, our club is continually talked down starting with our manager and Directors through to the media. That's why our sponsorship deals are pretty average. We'll be ok in a FFP but Chelsea probably will as well which shows that the FFP has it's own limitations before clubs even feel the need to 'get around' the rules. Tom 14013
I think even City will be ok. UEFA wouldn't fucking dare rule them out of any competitions. I agree all we ever hear from the club is ''we can't/weeez not one of them clubs'' meanwhile other clubs try to win trophies and sign players. All this ''if you try to win a cup you get relegated'' bullshit, they must think we're fucking stupid - before the 3rd round of the F.A cup we had 33 points ffs. Why support a team just to exist in the middle of the league so gimps on here can tell you ''it could be worse!!111'' when even with our current resources it could be a lot fucking better. A lot of our restrictions are self imposed and that's true in all manners of speaking.
Howmanheyman 33841
Ironically any dissenting voices are insinuated as being negative. I think the current set up stinks the place out with their negativity with their patter.
Park Life 71
76 clubs have been asked for their accounts by FFP so at least there is something moving on that front. I don't think Man C will be ok at all. Chelsea are doing much more than City to come close to the guidelines. The fact that clubs are getting legal teams ready to fight action means this isn't going to be as lightweight as we imagined. PSG are definitely going down as their tricky backdated sponsorship is being scrutinised and Real are already under investigation for Govt sweet loan deals based on land. ChezGiven 0
Sarkozy and Platini brokered the Arab/PSG deal, as if FFP will be an issue for them. Maybe a fuss will be made but no decisions will go against PSG. 100% guaranteed.
Dr Gloom 22149
I think the financial fair play thing is a load of shite. Good idea in principle but I don't see it changing anything. Meanwhile the tight cunt that runs my club uses it as an excuse not to spend any of his own money on it.
jonasjuice 0
The European bans are only for the worst offenders, most people (I imagine all) at least the first time this is implicated, until there are cases of repeatedly ignoring FFP, will just receive fines. How can we hurt teams for whom money is no issue? Hmm... a small fine? Utterly pointless.
Park Life 71
Arab money, Russian mafia and Yanks are ruining football in England. This is how they do after they've fucked up everything in their own countries.
Toonpack 9945
Why 'by rights' should we be better than Everton? Why 'by rights' should we be behind another 6 clubs? We have more resources than Everton (even within Ashley's model) the other 6 we don't at this time. By rights, I don't mean divine right, but given our respective "size" we should be able to overhaul/surpass Everton IMO.
Howmanheyman 33841
Our 'size' means fuck all though under Mike. Commercial wise we've managed to regress whilst our size is the same.
