Chez story about his mate in the bogs and Ashley is the root of the problem. MA isn't committed enough to get some top football knowledge around him and furthermore is scared to delegate to a management team that aren't his mates.

I'd imagine it would be hard to get people within the football community to come here under this regime given his treatment of Keegan ,Hughton & Shearer. Those 3 guys were the epitome of Newcastle United & were treated with contempt by Ashley he's a 24 carat twat.

What have the defeats to Hull at home, Sunderland or Swansea away got to do with the post I was replying to?

You quoted the form in the last 7 games which includes 2 defeats to Arsenal and Man City. Not sure why you chose to disagree with the idea that we played below our potential and our manager has had many better days tactically. You did for whatever reason and chose to use our form in the last 7 games to make some point (which am not really clear on).

Sunderland beating us on our off day is therefore also a fluke in that case. For anyone not following the point, counter-point of my logic, that's not what I'm saying.

In 7 games against Sunderland, Norwich, West Ham, Man City, Cardiff, West Brom and Arsenal we've won once. My point was that we're starting to dread going into the office.

I brought the other games into it because overall we seem to have more bad days at the office than good ones.

Make it 7 premiership games and take out Arsenal and City and you have won 2, lost 2 drawn 1.

I think we are about to see a downturn in form because Cabaye was so instrumental in our play, not going to knock Pardew for the form we have shown previously though or pretend we were shit all season.

7 points from 7 games is still relegation form.

...and that's going to get worse you say?

Oh crikey!

All clubs bar one or two have relegation form over 5 games at some point. Just a question of perspective, listing defeats this season to make an as yet unspecified point, other than we can't use the phrase 'bad day at the office', is the argument style of a child. You can look at results, games with more or less generous perspectives. Was just merely juxtaposing the inclusion of all games with selective games where our expectation has been to win. You two can play 'you said, he said' shite with CT if you want but it's not working here.

The form i was thinking of was over the first half of the season and I don't think anyone now thinks we will keep that going. Relegation form will get us over 50 points though which has happened infrequently in the last 15 years.

We can all argue the toss all we want here it wont have any relevance to what goes on at St James Park because Ashley doesnt give a shit. The only time he will sit up & listen is when we start voting with our feet. I mean shirley by now we all get it the only thing that drives him is money thats his life blood. Has anyone come up with a good reason to continue going to the match while he's in charge. Because if you have I wouldnt mind hearing it and non of this to support the team bullshit because the twat at the top aint supporting them.

Because Newcastle United is bigger than Mike Ashley.

I'm a hypocrite because I live too far away to get to many matches, but I don't think it's fair to look down on other supporters who choose to go to support the team (not the club).

Hey MT im as big a hypocrite i dont go to any games now & I definitely don't look down on anyone who chooses to go. I'm just interested as to why people would go and give Ashley money when he has no good intentions towards the team.

Can still enjoy the day in isolation, you just have to try not to consider the long term meaning of it all. Realistically you're never going to get a situation where he's losing enough money through reduced turnout to make him change his strategy.

Oh I dont know half a dozen or so home games with 15,000 or less would make him shit his pants.

Aye as I said, 'realistically'. That low a crowd just isn't ever going to happen with us in the premier league.

Well thats a crying shame because I cant think of a club where the supporters deserve better.

Where does this "boycott=Ashley will sell up" thing come from? There would still be 3 men and a dog singing "sack the board" huddled together on the decaying Gallowgate if SJH hadn't wanted a slice of soon-to-be-premier-league pie. We need a buyer before Ashley sells and there's not one out there as we speak.

7 games.

3 of those last 15 years Pardew was the one that struggled to 41 points and 46 points. In the 15 years prior to that we'd hit 50 points over half the time. Not "infrequent" to me.

Don't get all pissy because I picked you up on the "bad day at the office" line. You sounded like Pardew trying to paint over the cracks in an interview and his performance in the last 7 games and the rest of the season prior to them is at odds with it. It's been made up of many bad days that he has orchestrated. Only Sunderland and Fulham have lost more games to bottom half teams all season.

He had excuses last year. Not this year.
